  1. Thanks guys. Carl....yes I painted the center of the dash and the console free handed with brush silver paint. The door panels and knobs on the doors are BMF.
  2. You got it! When this car was ordered the L78 box was checked off.
  3. Thanks everyone once again for the great comments. Little more done. Coming along slowly but surely. Just needs a body and some wheels now.
  4. Thanks Snake. Testors Aluminum brush paint in the little 1/4 oz bottle.
  5. Thanks Mike and Tyrone. I got the wheels painted and the red line decals applied. I think they are going to look good on the car.
  6. Thanks Carl and Fred. More update pics coming soon.
  7. Thanks Shane and Jeremy, Got the engine done today but I might add a few hoses to it for extra detail. Engine pics are a bit dark for some reason.
  8. Thanks Pat and Charlie. Charlie I used the #101 evergreen strips.
  9. Thanks Tyrone. Engine pics will be next.
  10. Thanks Guido and Carl. Carl...I used Tamiya "Italian Red" and I polished it out with Nu Finish Scratch Doctor which It really didn't need but the polish brings the foil out.
  11. Thanks guys for all of the great comments. Well I had a chance to get back to the bench today and get the foil on. Body has been polished out with Nu Finish Scratch Doctor. I placed the grille on temporary just for the photos. Check her out when you get a chance.
  12. But you would still need the rear valance with the back-up lights on it. Also, you would need the solid red tail light as well.
  13. No RS grille included with this kit. I was hoping for the RS option but no-go.
  14. I did a mock up with the grille attached to the body to show how the styrene strips look with the foil applied. Makes a big difference from the way the grille looks right out of the box.
  15. Thanks Dan, Guido and Snake. Only the door panels were foiled. The dash trim and console trim were painted silver. Snake, thanks for that info. I wasn't sure if they were white or black since I couldn't find a decent reference pic to show what they were.
  16. Thanks Guido Testor's Flat Brown.
  17. Thanks everyone. Now that I am done my little rant I have finished the interior.
  18. I find it hard to understand why so many people are so critical of this kit. I personally find the kit is fairly good representation of a 1967 Camaro SS. As far as the grille.....what's the big deal here? Get some Evergreen styrene strips and glue them on like I did. Takes a few seconds and they really make the grille look like it should. I think we all need to consider that this is not a 1:1 car and that it is a model. I think out of all of my 100 or so model cars maybe a few might come in as being quite accurate in terms of a 1:1 car. I'm just glad Revell is coming out with such a variety of classics to build! Lets chill out a bit!
  19. Thanks guys. No dent on mine Mike.
  20. Thanks everyone. Curtis...I haven't really assembled anything yet on this kit just painting parts so far. It looks as though the assembly may not be too bad but I will find out soon enough.
  21. Thanks guys for all of your comments and input so far.
  22. I forgot to post the painted body pics.
  23. Yes the kit has a white and a black nose stripe. This build will be red with a white interior and the white nose stripe.
  24. Using some #101 Evergreen strip styrene covered in BMF I was able to make the grille look a little more like the 1:1 grille
  25. Just started this new release from Revell. Looks as though the kit is fairly decent except for the grille being a little off from the 1:1 car. Here is my progress so far.
