  1. Looks great Mike. I have one sitting on the bench right now painted in the same colour. I too have the Fireball Modelworks tire decals that I will be adding when the kit is finished. Again...very nice job!
  2. I know there has been a couple of other posts here of this Mustang but I thought I would share a few pics of mine as well. Painted in factory colour "Oxford White". Actually not a bad representation of the 2015 Mustang other than poor headlight detail but I guess it will suffice until Revell comes out with a more detailed version in a year or so....the sooner the better! The model needs to be lowered to give it a more realistic stance which I did by notching out the groove where the axles sit. Check out the pics below and see what you think.
  3. I get mine on Friday. Not sure if I'll attempt the headlight technique or just leave them the way they come. I'm sure Revell will kick out a more detailed kit by next year.
  4. I have one of these coming as well and was planning to do the same thing. Is this model molded in red?
  5. Thanks guys for all of your input on this build. Harry thanks for bringing the gap situation to my attention. I never really gave it a second thought until you had mentioned it in a previous reply. I consider myself a perfectionist so little things like gaps and inaccuracies really bug me. Dave here is a pic of the paint I used. I bought it at Carquest auto parts up here in Canada. Not sure if you have Carquest outlets in the U.S. I used Dupli-Color gray primer with this paint. Tamiya primer would not work as I tested it on several pieces of styrene with different primers before painting the body. Even though it is an enamel you will still need the primer or it will attack the styrene.
  6. Thanks Danno. I do like it much better.
  7. Thanks Bill and Michel for the kind words. Bill I don't have a chassis pic at the moment. Yes, ride height was adjusted because these modern Revell Mustangs tend to sit too high and unrealistic so when I build one I automatically adjust it. The "Boss 302" script on the plenum is a decal although it would be easy to paint. The stripes on the plenum were painted.
  8. Thanks SFD. I generally don't like messing with a finished model but this was bugging me and I had to get it right.
  9. Okay, after receiving a couple of comments regarding the gaps in the front and rear fascia where they meet the body I decided to fix the problem. Using 5 minute epoxy thinned out with isopropyl alcohol and very carefully applying it with a pin in the deep seams but not too much as to fill the gap completely I then gently dabbed some body color into the gap. I like it much better. Here are three updated pics.
  10. Thanks again everyone. Michael...I didn't have too much problem with the chassis fitting into the body but the front and rear fascia was an issue for sure in terms of fit.
  11. Great looking model. Very nice indeed!
  12. Thanks guys! Gene I would like to swap my 2005 GT seen here for a yellow Boss 302!
  13. Very nice. Great job on the black on the front and back bumpers. That is very hard to paint correctly.
  14. Looks great. Very nice job!
  15. Thanks everyone. Harry the reason the panel lines look black is because of the fit issues I mentioned in my post. That was as tight as I could get them. I already new they should be tighter but you have to work with what the kit gives you. The seams are not painted black....it's just the shadow of the gap making them look that way.
  16. Just finished this Boss this afternoon. Good kit but I did encounter a few fit issues with this kit especially with the front end. A little trimming of unseen plastic fixed the problem. Finished in factory color "School Bus Yellow". Thanks for checking her out.
  17. Thanks guys for the great replies.....
  18. Thanks Ron.
  19. Thanks again guys for the great comments. Rasputen....I thought it would have had the 12 volt battery as well.
  20. Thanks Gene. Yes this is the 354ci Hemi included with this kit.
  21. Thanks guys................
