you could even do it satin black , rims candy red and the top of the roof also candy red .. brings back the color in a second location and ties in everything hmm or like i said and also make a bed cover and do that candy red also option option options -

crazyrichard replied to ryanm's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
why part 2 ?? you could use the other topic right ?? but i have to say this is looking superb...! love the wooden frame / open roof and bench inside really looking awsome ~~ -
also painted the body today (after the previous update) getting more matt as it dry's it dry's very very fast (army green paint) and so i already tryed some detail painting in silver the green of the cab is the same paint , only with clear coat over it , look how difefrent the color is without clear on it i was thinkin of using these rims but also liked these , the green is acrylic paint and will come of real easy but i want dual tyres and i dont have that light brown paint anymore and then i could not make sleeves in color at the back (deep dish) so this will be the best option at the back and on the front just the wheel as it is then clear coated all the green

today i added some railings and began with some diamond plate floorboards added some brackets on the arm and a brace between the exhaust pipes then made some motors with a axle , just a fantasy set up .. made a control thing (maybe will add more) and later on a will add hydro lines to the whole system put a spotlight on the arm so they can see in the dark (lol) and did some more diamond plating used a old dragster rollbar as a crane arm strut and the beginning of the hydro lines

yeterday i started by making smaller exhaust ends , the ones from the donorkit where way to big , the pipes themselfs where perfect then closed the front of the bed with a industrial looking plate / shape end added some styreen in the middle section (rough) then fitted the crane arm everything together and the arm can move so later on i can hang a car begind it , also will need hydro lines and stuff added on the cilinder

i would def. tru to paint the wheels the color of your body , seems to me that would work so well or do the body satin black and give the rims a bright color > red > green > yellow ? or matt brown with camel color wheels -
Landcruiser
crazyrichard replied to tramprod's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
exactly the model / bodytype i want to build one time .. not going hudge wheels adn raised myself but awsome kit , very curious on the progress from here -
thnx well the body was ruined and busted on all the cut lines and with the layers of bondo and paint ,, nothing to begin with didnt feel like putting it in stuff to soak everything off again en yes the bed was narrow due to the fact the other cab was smaller in width.. in a way i kinda still like it and maybe i will ad some fender flares at the back , not sure yet

Chopped AMT Deuce 5-window: Progress, July 13
crazyrichard replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
nice build so far digging this -
thnx , but my cat jumped on the table and on the cabine and its no more , was all busted and i didnt feel like trying to rebuild it with all the bondo and i already did a test paint spray on it ... the cassis was getting nice with the crane idea and i was beginning to make a floorless bed ..... so after thinking and ....i got the idea to use my dan finks speedwagon kit and use that and just ...... maybe some would say huh what why .. well i just got an idea and think it will become awsome the rear of the wagon will becom the back of the cabine the woodtrim will run through then . back then i cut out the plastic wood and put real wood in there , i always thought i need to change that and the wood should be less far in , so maybe now i can do that and add lighter wood so i chopped the rear off and placed it loose on te cahssis to see if this would work i want to put duelys at the back the grille so now its a matter of doing the bodywork and trurn it into a woody cabine instead of wagon so we would end up with a woody hotrod towtruck lol

thnx and will do the result of a second coat of primer after sanding , i forgot to clean the doorhandles , that will happen and i will ad some losse handles because well that just looks nicer and more realistic the details will come back more this is a thick coat of primer to really fill the last holes and stuff
