  1. Beautiful job on one of my all time favorite designs. I much I like the Barris Batmobile, unlike Harry, I do not think it was an improvement over the original design. Out of all factory show cars, it's a toss up between the Futura and the Firebird III on which one I like best. Again. A nice job on the kit.
  2. Ugly car IMO. But you did a very nice job building it.
  3. Beautiful. Still the best non comic book Batmobiles.
  4. Never more. Waka, waka, waka. Never more.
  5. Cool to see. I like them.
  6. Prefer 1/25th. But 1/25th or 1/24th, I'm still waiting for a Mk I Ford (Mercury here) Capri. I still don't understand how this one has been missed over years?
  7. Plastic. But the bomb itself is still made out of metal.
  8. Very long, but very cool video. Well worth watching all of the way through. I liked it a lot. Thanks Harry.
  9. No worries on my part Ron. Because of others suggestions and guidance here, I have now figured out how to turn off any signatures I don't want to see any more. So it's no problem for me.
  10. Hub Hobby in the Twin Cities still offers those metal bombs your talking about. And the caps. They appear to be newly made. Not NOS. Bought one a year or two ago. And plenty of caps. They're still fun.
  11. I've always love that box cover. The guy jumping into a Thunderbird to go racing. And the Buick Riviera racing between the Jag and the Corvette. Realistic? No. Cool? Yes! As a kid I saw Thunderbirds and Rivs as being very sporty cars with their big engines, sleek styling, and bucket seats. And all sporty cars were right for racing. Right? As a kid I thought so. And being a big Thunderbird fan back then, I was sure they were out there winning many races. As I grew older, I found out the truth. But, the kid side of me still likes the idea of racing, and winning, in a Thunderbird or Riviera.
  12. What's confusing about it? Can't you have a conflict with someone an still be okay? There are lots of people out there that I disagree with on certain things. Or even plain dislike. There are people who don't agree with or like me. All of that is okay. Why use the words "rude" and "selfish"? In conversions on the subject we've been talking here, that's how I felt the person came off when I confronted him. My perception. Others may not have seen it that way. I can be okay with that. Nothing that person is doing, right or wrong, is a big deal in the large scheme of things. He's posting a picture of a model on a model website. I may not like the way he's doing it. But, who really cares? It's does not hurt me in the long run.
  13. I'd love to see any of '72 Chevy or GMC truck kits back on the market. And I personally have no problem with the promo style chassis of these kits. Shining side up. Greasy side down. I rarely care that about what the chassis looks like after I'm done building. So, the simple chassis are okay with me, as long as the rest of the model looks good sitting on the shelf when it's done.
  14. I'm not finding it in settings boxes. Unless your talking about changing your own personal account. With others, it looks like I have to look at what ever they use for their signatures or block them completely. I'm not interested in blocking one anyone. Whether I like or dislike there signatures, or opinions. I'm a big boy. I can live with things I don't care for.
  15. Another favorite toy from when I was kid, was a '55 or '56 plastic Cadillac Eldorado. About 1/43 scale in size. All of the ones sold at our local Ben Franklin were molded in red. You could buy them one of two ways. A convertible with no top. Or a convertible with a snap on hardtop. Even as a kid, I could never understand why anybody would have bought one without the top. The top just snaps on and off using the same holes in both (really one) body styles. From want I remember, the tops came molded in white. And there may have been some white cars with red tops. But, I can't be sure on that? A few years back I found a blue one for sale on eBay. Blue with a red top. Not the best color combination. But, I bought it anyhow. As I do like blue. This was the first time I had ever seem a blue one. i think these Cadillacs were made by a company called Precision Plastics. But, again I'm not 100% sure on that. These little Cadillacs had a major influence on my taste in what a luxury car should be to this day. And I'm pleased to have the blue one in my collection today. (Now that it's summer, I need to take to top off.)
  16. I had to get license plate tabs for my car yesterday. I always go to a local suburban city hall where the line are either nil or very short. Less than 10 minutes and I'm good for another year of driving. Too bad they don't renew the driver's license there too.
  17. After seeing Steve's models at the last NNL North, I would take anything this guy says about painting to the bank. His stuff is beautiful. Type of tape or paint, I'm sure this guy knows what he talking about. And that's not to discount others advice. I just know from seeing his models, Mr. Guthmiller knows what he's talking about and his advice is good.
  18. Great for New York. Not very useful from the rest of us. But, still good.
  19. Taking a second look, and I still like it. The color is perfect for a car from that time period.
  20. Very nice job on the paint.
  21. I too say, nice.
  22. Like others here have said, that is a very nice 4-4-2. I like it.
  23. I'm sure a lot of schools wish they had that GTO in their shop. Imagine with what GTOs are worth, selling it would help your school budget a bit.
