  1. Sharp Monte!
  2. Yea the wood looks good. But so does the paint. What color is that?
  3. I'm not a big fan of '37 Fords. But, that is one very nice build. I like in a lot. Great job.
  4. Keep them coming! I'm liking them.
  5. To me Top Gear is dead without Clarkson, Hammond, and May. I hope I to get see The Grand Tour over here. Oh, and Top Gear US was dead from the start. I like Adam. But, that's about it.
  6. The stations did come with cars. Pretty basic plastic cars, that in some cases were model after real cars. And they would be changed and be updated as the years went by. They were a little bigger than Matchbox cars. Close to 1/43 scale.
  7. You are correct sir.
  8. Hey, next time bring something. It may not be as good as others. But, that's not the point. If you saw my Three Stooges drag team set up, you knew it was not going to win anything. Still, I was surprised by how many people liked it, and thought it was cool. And I didn't get the impression they were just saying that to be nice either. Sometimes we are our own harshest critics. Steve didn't think his models were all that good either. Everybody else thought differently. Bring some models. Let us see what you can do. You might be surprised by what we think.
  9. Sorry. But no! ? But still they're fun and worth the price. ?
  10. As I noted above, they actually do work. Not the way the art in the magazines ads showed you. Or tried to make you believe. But, they actually do something! And it is kind of amazing and fun. And I don't think you'll want your money back after trying them.
  11. The submarine was a big disappointment when I finally got to see photos of one in a book a couple years ago. The X-Ray Specs are cheap, junky things too. But, they're kind fun. And they do kind of work. I've bought several pair on eBay in recent years. They are fun to demonstrate to people. Kids are mystified. Adults are surprised they do anything at all! They are still very cheap to buy. Just one word of warning. Buy the original ones. Even though the frames are now made of cardboard. There is a plastic frame set made in China. But, they didn't seem to work as well.
  12. Always wanted a Major Matt Mason. Never got one. And I remember dreaming about all the fun I would have, if I could win that full-size Gemini capsule. I still want to be an astronaut when I grow up.
  13. My all time favorite toy as kid was a metal service station. A friend recently found me a very nice Marx one at fleamarket. It's in very good shape, but it's missing all of the plastic pieces as shown in Harry's picture above. That and came with none of the cars. So I'm looking for the above accessories. Can anybody out there help?
  14. I'm looking for one these. Maybe not exact same model. I loved Crash Mobiles. I've looked on eBay and have never found one.
  15. As said, Honey West!
  16. Any idea what wheels come with that kit? They just say promo wheels. I'm hoping those are the 8 lug wheels.
  17. I was lucky enough to get Shawn Carpenter's conversion kit several years back. It was some of the nicest resin stuff I ever worked with. I'd love if he could offer his stuff again.
  18. Thank you. I too am having a hard time understanding exactly what your telling me. I think I'm getting it. But, a photo would help if you could?
  19. Just went to Modlehaus' site to order one.
  20. Wow! Very nice. One of the all time great classic Tom Daniel designs.
  21. Thanks for the reminder. Just went to their site to order a '67 Grand Prix convertible. A little pricey. But, well worth I'm sure. I hope I get to order one or two more kits before they close shop.
  22. What was the point of dragging this thread forward. Just to bad mouth AMT's '58 Plymouth again? Or tell us how every car from the 1950's, in every body style, needs to be offered in 1/25 scale? I agree with the later statement. But, I'm tired of the former. Give it a rest. We all know AMT's '58 Plymouth had problems. Just don't buy the kit if you don't like it. But to say AMT should not be allowed to release any more kits until they correct that one? Is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard. If you really feel that way, don't buy any Round 2 products until they fix it. I bet you'll have a long wait. And not much fun. Round 2 is doing a great job with what they have. Do I want more and better stuff? Of coarse. But, is that going happen, or is it practical? I hope so. But, in the mean time I'll keep buying Round 2s stuff, whether they ever fix the '58 Plymouth or not. To top it off. I didn't think that '58 Plymouth was as bad as everybody made it out to be.
