  1. Very cool. I didn't know anybody made a model of 1/24 Kublewagen. The only change I would make, is I'd replace your present air cleaner for a chromed German helmet.
  2. Won a '68 promo on eBay in the last few days, to go along with my '68 Cadillac deVille and '68 Imperial. It will not look as good as your kit. But, I'm happy none the less. Love those late 60's luxury cars.
  3. Interesting. Not my style, but I can appreciate it. Very nice job of building it.
  4. Lovely. Waiting for mine to come through the mail.
  5. Does anybody out there make a resin or other, 1/25 scale model of the 1954 Chevorlet show car, the fastback Corvette Corvair? Next to the Lincoln Futura and the Firebird III, one of my favorite show cars.
  6. I'm going to miss them. Talked with Carol on my last order a couple of weeks ago. I understand her wanting to retire. Hopefully, I can get one more order though them before they close down. They have been one of the best in the business. And as I said, I'm going to miss them.
  7. I'm guessing from what I'm reading here, and in other threads here, not to hold my breath waiting for this AMX show car to ever come out. The description of how they were going to do a high quality job on this, but couldn't find pictures of what the rear end looked like? Which took me less than a 5 minute search on the web. Raised flags for me. Thankfully, I'm not all that interested in subject. It's too bad for those who are. Reading the other threads on this guy (or guys?), it's a shame that there are scammers out there. 99% of the people I've dealt with with here have been pretty straight forward. But, as the old saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true. It probably is." In the case of this resin project, it sounded too good to be true.
  8. Is that in the Paddy Wagon or the Jinx Express?
  9. Still by far my favorite paints. I just wish they were more easily available.
  10. ?? As seen on the box? For one is sitting in the front. The other hanging on to the rear.
  11. Oh! Yea, I misread. You said '34. Not '36. Bummer!
  12. Revell did a snap kit of a '36 Ford? Kool! What scale? And is it still available? Some snap kits can be very, very nice. 3 out of the 4 Snake45 has mentioned above I've built. And all three are very nice kits, with very good detail. I like them. I also several other new Revell snap kits, like their latest Mustang, though low in parts, make very nice looking kits then they're done. I also love AMT' old 1/43 and 1/32 scale snap kits. And I'm really looking forward to getting Revell's new 2017 Ford GT snap kit. I'm hoping that comes in today's mail, for that matter.
  13. Recently I picked up Monogram's Paddy Wagon. The latest reissue with the two pre painted figures. Officer Sean Fogerty and Patrick O'Reilly. Over all a very nice kit. A typical Tom Daniel kit. So I like it. There is one thing that is baffling me about this kit. And I can not find anything in the instruction that clear it up. Which figure is officer Fogerty? And which one officer O'Reilly? It may seem minor, but it's bothering me that I don't know. Also in other threads, the question of what engine is in this kit has come up. I think early ads and box art claimed it to be a modified "Cobra" engine. What Cobra engine it is I have no idea. But, I'm more wondering about another Tom Daniel's kit I recently pick up. The Jink Expresss. Can anybody out there, tell me what kind of engine that is suppose have?
  14. I'm confused. What is going on here? What link are you referring to? What is this whole thread about?
  15. My thoughts exactly.
  16. Life was still a little over 8 years away for me at Christmas of '49. But, just because I wasn't there, doesn't mean I can't have some understanding of what happen back then. I still know the United States Declaration of Independence was declared on July 4, 1776. And Pearl Harbor was bombed on December 7, 1941. The 1949 Fords made their appearance on show floors on June 10, 1948. The '49 Oldsmobiles, December 19, 1948. So, I'm just guessing the '49 Ford promo models with the suicide doors were out before the '49 Olds promo. It makes common sense. But, just because it makes common sense, does that make it right? I don't know?
  17. Sorry to do this Art, but I need to question you on this one. The '49 Fords hit the show floors about 6 months before the '49 Oldsmobiles. And AMT made the mistake of tooling up their first '49 Ford 4-door promos with suicide rear doors. They fixed that on the later versions, which tells the AMT's promos either appeared or were tooled up before the real '49 Fords hit the streets. I have my doubts that GM would have given a sneak preview of their '49 Olds 98, even though the body would be a carry over from '48, more than six months before the real car would appear. I'm not saying your wrong. I'm just not sure you right. I'd love know the answer to this one myself.
  18. A couple of weeks ago I received Modelhaus' resin '67 Corvair Monza 4-door hardtop. A very nice kit (goes without saying, it Modelhaus), of the one and American 4-door hardtop in the compact class. A lovely car. It should look great next to my Modelhaus '66 Corsa convertible I bought at the same time.
  19. Very nice. Very clean.
  20. Except in the world of MPC. They also offered a Fury based Roadrunner for 1976! Why they did this I'll never know? With Volare being the big thing it was that year, and Plymouth showing Volare Roadrunners right away. That's a mystery to me. And your right Harry, Plymouth did offer Volare Roadrunners right through 1980. Thankfully they had the sense to end it there. So we didn't have to see a Reliant K car version.
  21. Nice job!
