  1. Wow! And I thought Siri was something when I first encountered it about three or four years ago. This Hound program makes Siri look pretty primitive. What will be coming in another three or four years? These devices are mind blowing. If you would have told me about this back when I was high school, back in the 1970's, I would have had a hard time believing it. This is cool!
  2. Despite the criticism one often reads here, I completely agree Wayne. Revell has done a great job with the new kits they've designed over the last 20 years or so. I like the subjects they've picked. And I've found most of their new kits are fairly easy to build, with very few problems. So yea. Thanks Revell.
  3. A '67 Custom? If there is one, it has to be a resin. The only regular full size Ford model kits, or promos, that I know of are the XL hardtops and convertibles offered by AMT.
  4. I like and build just about anything. Buicks and Thunderbirds are my favorite, but I've build several AMCs over the years. My AMT '75 Matador is one of my favorites. I have a JoHan SC/Rambler waiting to be built. Bought aftermarket decals to avoid using the originals that don't look too be in too good of shape. There is nothing wrong with AMCs, other than there is not enough of them out there.
  5. Glad to finally see what comes in the box this kit. Thanks.
  6. Whoopee cushions are okay with me. It's a fun little extra in Curly's Gasser. But, I really want the go kart. That and the canoe, paddles, and roof rack at came with MPC's '69 Bonneville hardtop kit. I really like those type extra bonuses.
  7. Got to love those Mutt IIs. Very nice.
  8. I wonder when the MPC '71 Demon that we were promised a few years back, will be out?
  9. Very fun to see one done already. Looks great!
  10. The cars are cool Greg.. But, that video. Too sweet for me. Where's my toothbrush?
  11. Sorry to say Charlie, but the '50 Buick Special is not as close to '50 Olds 88 as you might think. In 1950 the Oldsmobile 88s were built off of GM's "A" body platform. Shared with Chevrolet and Pontiac. The Buick Specials for 1950 were on the larger "B" platform. Shared with the Olds 98 and the "small" Cadillac Series 61 ( the "big" Caddys, Series 62, were on the "C" platform along with the Buick Super and Roadmaster). GM's body sharing program can be quite confusing from that time period. Other problems, besides the body. Buick's own frame. And their use of a straight eight engine, rather than a V-8 like the Oldsmobile. All of that said, with I being a big Buick fan, I too would love to see a '50 Buick. Especially in a sedanette body like you mentioned. Actually I'd rather see a big Roadmaster, more than a a Special. But, again sorry to say Charlie, I think yours or mine wishes are not going to happen on this one. I hope I'm wrong on this. But, I'm not holding breath on seeing this one.
  12. Are you 100% sure on that? I know that was true with AMT's '65 and '66 Barracuda kit. But I don't think that's correct with MPC's.
  13. BOP kit? Doesn't BOP stand for Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac?
  14. I wonder if you'll need God's help too?
  15. Looks good Tim, but.... I'd like to see more.
  16. I don't know if I should be scared after getting your above response Harry? The Bird of Paradise Thunderbird isn't that bad is it? Your not worry that building this kit will lead me down a bad path, that I may need God's help? ?
  17. Looks nice. I like the new Stingrays.
  18. Very nice. I like these mid-50,s 1/32nd scale cars that Revell offered with AMT. Despite the multi-piece bodies, I've always found that they went together fairly well.
  19. Looks great! Another one of those weird, but great Tom Daniel's designs I've always liked. Very cool.
  20. Cute. I like it
  21. Did I say "two kits"? I should have said all three. I'd love to see more photos of these kits. Maybe contents of the boxes. Some built ups. Whatever? Plus more information on history of these kits. When did they first come out? When have they been reissued, if ever? And if they were reissued at one time, was there different box art? I also wonder, even though I love these old dragsters. Do they sell? Does anybody know how well Revell's retooled Monogram Sizzler/Slingster sold? I got one and loved it. But, I've not seen many built as of yet. Or how well has Round 2 done with the old AMT Double Dragster kit? Of which I bought two. Have completed two cars from the one box, and have started on the two in the other. The above kits appeal to me. But, would they be worth Revell's time and make them money?
  22. The more I look at it. The more I'm thinking it might be fun to build the car like the box art. Those psychedelic "Bird of Paradise" decals are a little on the funky side. But, with all the other custom parts in the kit, especially the rear window fill in, it needs to be done. It just reeks of the time period. I'm not saying JB that's it's classy in any way. But it's fun. And sometimes that's enough. I'm going for it!
