  1. No. Ford did offer a set of wire wheel covers that snapped onto a regular wheel. The center was left open, showing the standard Ford hubcap underneath.
  2. Sorry Casey, but that is the worst kit review, if you want to call it that, that I have ever seen. What was the point of that?
  3. Would love to see a review on this one. An interesting looking kit.
  4. I don't know.
  5. A great kit. Like AMT's 1937 Chevy, it has a few problems. But, with a little work it turn out fine. Another old classic from AMT.
  6. GM and others for years would not offer air conditioning with engines with solid lifters. Solid lifter engines could spin higher RPMs than cars with hydraulic lifters. Enough to easily spin belts off of compressors. This is the same reason Chrysler would not offer air with their Hemi back in the 60's.
  7. Thanks Kurt. Even if I'm not to interested in the kit, I love see these reviews showing the contents of the kits. As I've noted before, "a picture is worth a thousand words." So these type of reviews are great. I hope people keep on doing more of these.
  8. The Revell '63 snap Corvette are great kits. But, they represent non fuel injected models with a Powerglide and air conditioning. Don't get me wrong, if I could go back to 1963 and order a real Corvette, I would have gone for the air conditioning at least. Making it impossible to order the fuel injection. I have one of the of Revell snap kit coupes. I also have the Revell '63 promo coupe and convertible that were released a couple of years ago. I love the Revell Vettes. But, I still also like the AMT kits. After all their model cars have engines, with the coveted fuel injection set up, a 4-speed and on their coupe for sure, aluminum wheels. Are the Revell '63 Corvettes better than AMT's? I can't say. I also love Revell's more full detailed '67 Vettes. My all time favorite Corvette is the '67 convertible. Followed by the '63 coupe. So I'm very lucky to have several different kits representing two of my favorite cars.
  9. Thanks Greg for posting pictures of the Premier Ramside. As bad as people say it is, I'd buy one if it were reissued today. It's bad, but not as bad as people say it is.
  10. Taken it "as far as they can go"? Still no "regular" 4-4-2 version of this kit.
  11. It should be noted. The instructions do not show the fuel metering box that goes on passenger side of main fuel injection unit. The part is on the chrome tree. But, the instructions just do not show or mention it on this kit.
  12. The most recent version of this kit does have "fuel injection" emblems on the front fenders.
  13. I don't know about the Monogram Kurtis kit Niko, but I own the other five. And they are all great kits.
  14. Just found and purchased a sealed one on eBay for a little over $30 with shipping. Seemed like a pretty good deal. Your review with the photos, convinced me to do so. Thank you.
  15. Thanks Ron. The above is very helpful. I think I'm going to have to hunt one down.
  16. Again, can anybody put up photos? As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words."
  17. It pleases me that the snow that most of the Midwest has gotten, has missed us. I hate the white stuff. So I'm dancing with joy.
  18. Ah. I wish it was Jungle Pam. That gal above just doesn't do much for me.
  19. Interesting that here in Minneapolis, Minnesnowta we got no snow. It's cold today. But, the ground is still bare. For this I am greatfull.
  20. Yes, please.
  21. Been slowly changing my mind on the '72 Hurst convertible. With Linda Vaughan character I may have to buy the the kit. I still wish Revell would offer this kit with a correct non Hurst 4-4-2 grille. The '72 Hurst/Supreme grille is not one of my favorites.
  22. Thanks MG. This the best type of review. Showing us the kit. I'm very disappointed to see this is the old Challenger kit has been offered to us for years now. It's not a bad kit. Not a great one. But, not bad either. It's just not the Vanshing Point Challenger. The roof is my biggest complaint. Followed by the engine. This is not Kowalski's car. Hopefully, someday somebody will offer us a good, more true true copy of Kowalski's Challenger.
  23. Interesting that we've been keeping the wheel cover/hub cap topic alive, on a kit that comes with neither! I do wish it would now get back to the original subject. The AMT '63 Corvette kit. So I'll try. As noted, I've built several of the coupes over the years. And despite it being an older, primitive kit, I still like it. I'm curious. How much different is the convertible/roadster from the coupe version of this kit? I do know that the original AMT issue of the '63 Vette convertible came with rotating headlamps and stock Corvette wheel covers. I think it may have also come with a hardtop, a luggage rack and some luggage for that rack. I don't know about that for sure, because I never bought the convertible. With purchasing the recent reissue of the coupe, it's gotten me thinking about picking up the convertible. But, the last issue I see being sold on eBay, looks like they switched the model over to the same aluminum wheels as are included in the coupe kit. So what is or is not in the more recent releases of the convertible? I know the rotating headlamps have not been included in the kit for years. I wonder how they looked built. And if they workd okay? It would be a cool feature to see restored to the convertible version of this kit.
  24. Great looking Bonne and boat Bill. Looking forward to the Bonneville coming back. Wish the boat was too. Made the mistake of trading the boat away when it was last released in the Model King combo. Kicking myself ever since. Traded it for Revell's then new '49 Custom Merc. A nice kit. But now I really wish I had the boat.
