TOMYTEC Nissan Cedric Gloria Wagon V20 Deluxe 1/35

Other than scale, very nice. I like and miss woodgrain wagons. But, in this case, I think I'd build it without the woodgrain. -
Beany's Drive Through
unclescott58 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Greg, another winner. Man, you find the coolest stuff. Thanks Ray, for rubbing it in by telling us you went to In and Out Burger. You should think about us poor slobs who don't live in the southwest. ? Living here in Minnesnowta makes drive ins a little impractical. There have been a few over the years. Porky's was a popular one for years here in the Twin Cities. But, they all gone now. We have a Sonics. A place I'm not all that impressed by. And we still have A&Ws. But, not with the old fashion drive in type of serve anymore. Again, thanks Ray. As if this time of year isn't bleak enough around here. -
Still not sure of this

I too like it. It's pretty cool. -
I don't know if this belongs under pleased or irked. But, I had my first root canal this morning. After hearing the horror stories, I found it really wasn't too bad. The dentist did a great job. Only had a local. No gas. Yet I felt little to nothing during the procedure. This afternoon there was a little pain requiring me use a mild pain killer. I'm sure I'll need take some more before going to bed tonight. But in general, it was no where near as bad as I heard it could be. Soon I've got to go back a get another tooth done. Two days ago I wrote in the "What Irked You" tread about having to leave my car with my mechanic. At the time he told me that between parts and labor, I was looking at somewhere just over $1,100. Which others pointed out was a good deal for the work that was being done to my car. Which knowing my mechanic, I suspected this was the case. Well I'm pleased to say, when I picked up the car yesterday, the bill came out $1,062. About $50 to $100 less than I was expecting. Not a lot of money. But, every little bit of saving helps. Despite having some things happen, that we normally don't want in lives. I can't really complain. And this pleases me.

Even though you don't like the light stuff, thanks C.M. for posting the above. -
It's my understanding that a full size version of the vehicle was built. Not a model I'm interested in ever owning. But, it would be fun to see one built. I hope Doug, that you post photos of model when it's done.

Mistakes or not, I'm still going to buy one. It's a nice looking kit. Very small turn signals and a missing Pontiac script aren't enough to keep me away from what looks like a go looking kit. Thanks for bringing us the great kits that you do Dave. And thank you for your willingness to correct mistakes when they're found.

It sounds small, but he is only 4" high. Like I say, it sounds small. But, it seems big enough.

If you can, you need to post the same for the '67 - '72 Ford trucks. I know how to identify them, but it would still be interesting, non the less. The '73 - '79 generation trucks would interesting and useful also. And Chevrolet from the same time period too. -
Can you tell us snow belt stuck people a little bit more about this? What exactly is it? And how is it applied? Also how costly is it?

Go to Auto World's web site. I know I paid less than $20.00 for mine with shipping. Though I did also use a $5.00 off coupon that came with buying their catalog.

What will be different about Round 2's decals with this switch? I've been pretty happy with Round 2's decals. I hope these new decals will not be like those I found in the Model King Allison Thunderland funny car a few years back. Those were way too thin. They tended to fold and rip way to easily. -
I still do not understand why that is. From what I can tell, it would be a big hit.

Sorry Bill, it does not come with a plain Cutlass grille. It now comes with a correct 4-4-2 grille and a Cutlass Supreme/Vista Cruiser/Hurst Olds grille. But, this is not a problem for what you want to do. In 1972 you could only get a Cutlass convertible as a Supreme, a Supreme with the 4-4-2 option package, or a Hurst Olds. So from the factory, the convertibles only came with either a Supreme/Vista Cruiser/Hurst grille or the 4-4-2 grille. The plain, horizontal bar grille found on the F-85, regular Cutlass, and Cutlass S was not offered on convertible. Since non of those levels of Cutlasses were available as convertible for 1972. I hope this clears things up.

Very nice build. A great job.
