  1. My mistake. You are right. The original release of the Hurst car does indicate you could built as a regular 4-4-2. They did make a mistake. Thankfully they've corrected it now.
  2. Just looked at the prestige version of the '61 Pontiac brochure. They only show bucket seats in a Bonneville. But, on the page dealing with options, they state that bucket seats are available on the Bonneville convertible. Then in parentheses below that, they state that bucket seats can be special ordered on all '61 Pontiacs at extra cost. So the buckets are a go for me for sure.
  3. I went back and read the review/thread on the Moebuis Fords. I can see from the posts on the '69, it's a bit off. But, for me it's not far enough off that it looks wrong to me until it's pointed out. For what ever reason, I guess I just not picky enough. And that's not to put down those who are. But, for me, everything Moebius has done so far has delighted me. They are not like Trumpeter kits or others that I can see the flaws right away. By the way, my Dad had a '69 Sport Custom. Have fond memories of that truck. Again, I'm looking forward to Moebius' '61 Ventura. And to my eyes, everything looks good in the photos I'm seeing. I am wondering? Were bucket seats optional in that year's Ventura? I know they were for the Bonneville. But, for the Ventura I'm not so sure. I'll have to do a little research. But, whether bucket are a correct option or not. I'll be building my Ventura with them. I like buckets much better than benches.
  4. How did they put the wrong grille in the kit? The original releases of both the Hurst and the Supreme had the correct grilles for those models. It's just that some of us liked the looks of the 4-4-2 better than those two. So now they're offering us the option of building a 4-4-2. But, this is not to correct a mistake to the original kits. They had the correct grilles for what they represented.
  5. One hit wonders? Was that first one you posted Harry, or the Hazel O Conner song above ever hits? I've heard the rest of them and would agree. But, those two I just referred to?
  6. How about a resin? Is there one of this car out there?
  7. What's wrong with which Moebuis F100 grille? I have both kits. And they both look good to me.
  8. Good news. This reissue can now be built as a regular 4-4-2, besides the Hurst version. Revell is now including correct 4-4-2 grille and stripes. Linda Vaughan and a regular 4-4-2 version. This is now on my must have list, for sure.
  9. Post some pictures!
  10. All right! The grille was my main reason for not buying this kit or the Supreme convertible in their first outings. That grille was always too formal. Representative of a luxury car, rather than a sporty car. Now with the true 4-4-2 grille and proper stripes, I'll be for sure buying this one.
  11. I'm kind of sorry I mentioned the missing axle. I want to hear more people's opinions on the kit itself. Which again, after opening the box, I was very please with what I found. This should build into very nice model of a '63 Corvette convertible in the end. I especially love the two tops. The soft and removable hardtop. i don't think replacement axles are that big of a problem.
  12. Again thanks to Tim for showing us detailed photos of this kit. And thanks to Dave and the others at Moebuis for turning out such a great kit. My only real worry about this kits when seeing photos of the test shots, were the 8 lug wheels. In Tim's photographs they look great. I'm very pleased. Another home run, as far as I'm concerned, from Moebuis.
  13. The '72 Hurst Olds, the Cutlass Supreme, and Vista Cruiser came with the same grilles. An egg crate design. The other 1972 non Supremes, and non 4-4-2 equipped Cutlasses came with horizontal bar for the grille. Only the 4-4-2 option packaged came with a fine mesh grille. So are we getting the regular 4-4-2 grille with this reissue? I hope so. The one thing I don't like about the '72 Hurst and Supreme cars is the grille.
  14. I got one a few weeks ago too. The Kat has always been kool. When Round 2/Auto World offered this on line I couldn't resist.
  15. The missing axle is not a big deal guys. I'm sure I have extras laying around.
  16. Dennis, your kit is missing a lot parts to build a nice model of a '64 Impala. ? You'll need a body, chassis, and interior. ?
  17. Okay. I went to MCW resin site. It's no Modelhaus. But, good enough to add a book mark for future reference. Once the holidays are over, I may have to pick up one of their '50 fastback Olds bodies. That's the car my parents had when they drove me home from the hospital. I bought the Revell kit several years ago and have done nothing with it. Maybe MCW's fastback will get me motivated to finish one.
  18. Wow! Fast response. Thank you. Now to go see what they have.
  19. Great box art! Sometimes I'll buy a kit I'm not all that interested, because the box art so cool. Presently I don't need or want another '64 Impala. But, if that box showed up on the shelves, I'd being spending the money.
  20. Who is MCW? Anybody have a link to their site?
  21. Yup! It's still funny. Thank for posting the link. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I forget the small details. Les' description is as funny as ever.
  22. The gas tank was under the cargo floor right behind the driver's seat. That's why the gas filler was right behind the driver's door. The spare tire basically fit where the gas tank is on the model.
  23. Got my sealed Prestige '63 Corvette convertible in the mail today. Opened the box and was very happy with what I found. Everything was in great shape. The tampo printed tires are perfectly centered. Only one minor problem. It only came with one metal axle. Two are required. Not a major problem. I'm sure I have extras.
