  1. Wow! I haven't been paying attention to this thread. For the SoCal double kit didn't interest me. But, the other proposed/wished for kits with fake box art blown me away. I'm not a big race car fan. But, I love everything else, including the Greyhound bus. I'd be more than willing to spend money on most of the things proposed here.
  2. You and I both. But, Surfite only recently became one of my favorites. The "Big Daddy" Ed Roth figure got me to finally buy the Surfite. As I built the actual model, I really began to like the car itself. But, I've loved the Deroa from the first time I saw it. Bought my first one in the summer of 1972, while stay at my cousins house up in Cloquet, MN. That summer in Cloquet, I also bought the AMT's Open Road Chevy Van and JoHan's '72 Cadillac Eldorado. My cousin picked up the JoHan '66 Ambulance. Man, there are three more kits I wish I could find today.
  3. Just looked at Tower Hobbies web site. For the new reissue, it says "picture coming soon."
  4. Okay, I just went back on eBay. There are none of the new reissue there at all. There are several previous reissues. But, not the new one with the original parts! like the tonneau restored. That's the one I'm looking for.
  5. None on eBay that I saw when I checked last night, just before I posted my comment. I would have bought one if there was.
  6. I too have never seen one with the camper. I hope too keep us posted on this one.
  7. Was disappointed last night. We have a member in our local model car club, who also a dealer in old and new kits. Every month I brings in the latest releases for sale. I was hoping he would have gotten and brought in the new Derora reissue last night. I guess I'll have to wait another month? Bummer! ?
  8. One of our MCCM members (our fearless leader) bought and opened the new Impala reissue at the meeting last night. The reissue looks good. No or little flash that I could see. Great box art. And very nice tampo printed tires. Wide whites on one side. Gold stripe on the other. The guy who brings the new releases for sale to the meeting, had a couple of them. Those tires almost got me to buy one. But, I have one waiting in my "to build stash" for several years now. I decided just to buy AMT's whitewalls for that one. Rather than buy a whole nother kit.
  9. That's what I thought.
  10. Let's see some photos.
  11. It would again be nice if someone could show photos. By the way, I have never seen this kit with the option of a wire front axle. I'd also like to see pictures of that.
  12. I do most of my web surfing from my iPad now days. And autoworldstore.com is a very friendly site to use on a tablet type device. Round 2's web site is great if they kept it up to date.
  13. It is sad to go to Round 2's web site. There is nothing there indicating what is coming in the near future. In fact there is barely any info on what's available now. I wish someone at Round 2 would fix this. ?
  14. Fun to watch. Again and again.
  15. Just to be clear, I was being facetious about hating the '70 'Cuda and the '67 Camaro kits. Heck I even like the notchback Mustang kit. Despite the mistakes, I still say to average person these kits look pretty good. But, there has been so much complaining in other threads here, I had to make the comment that I did.
  16. Leaving for the Northstar Crosley Club meeting in a few minutes. That always pleases me. We have a lot of fun there b.s.ing about cars in general, and other things. And once in a while, we even talk about Crosleys.
  17. It would be cool to see the interior layout of the real thing. Those lower windows near the back of trailer....???? How does that work?
  18. By the way, I thought everybody hated this kit and the '67 Camaro. So why are we looking for future variations?
  19. I'm still waiting to see this Olds F-85. From the photos I've seen, posted on a thread somewhere around here, I could tell little to nothing about it. And of the above rumors. I'm also still waiting for the '71 Demon. I still can't understand what happened to make this kit not happen? As far as the 1958 kits being reissued. I'll buy at least one of each if this should ever happen. But, for some reason, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for this one. It would be very cool to see. I don't mind that the original '58s were basic curbsides. I love that old stuff. But, after all these years?
  20. Sad to say, other than the post a couple up from this one, I am unable see any of the pictures. Just that last one of the semi tractor. And I've seen that one somewhere before? Maybe in old Car Model magazines?
  21. Got the Model King version of Lindberg's '64 Plymouth Belveder. It will be interesting to compare this kit to Moebius' '65 Satellite. Since in real life they are basically the same car.
  22. I'm wondering if like this recent issue, the part was there, but the instructions don't indicate it.
