  1. Fun article on splitting the '67 Impala. Thanks. Scott
  2. So this comes around to another thread, does anybody make a model of the Ford GT40 Mk IV any more? Scott
  3. Okay, I just got done looking at the AMT Hardcastle and McCormick Coyote on a Google search. That sure is not a GT40. So, did they ruin their old GT Mk IV to make that thing? And I'm sorry, but to me at least, that thing is just plain ugly. I was very disappointed to see what I found in my search. Scott
  4. So could Round 2 reissue the GT40 Mk IV in its original form? What did Hardcastle and McCormick Coyote model kit look like? A GT40 Mk IV or a real Coyote? Any photos? I'd love to see MPC's GT40 Mk IV reissued. Scott
  5. I don't think he asked about the '62s or '63s. But, your right about the differences. Though I do think the gravel shield may have been used on the '61 Futura. I'll have to go back and check on that. Scott
  6. Wow! Very cool. Scott
  7. Another stunning build Harry. Scott
  8. Not many left here in the States either. At least not around here were they use salt on the roads in winter. Scott
  9. I don't believe that was a GT40. It was some kind of kit car. In fact I think it was a car called the Coyote. Scott
  10. Okay Revell or Moebius, how about a Corvair Ramside for those of us who can't build as well as Dean? A Greenbriar would be cool too. Scott
  11. '73 is last year until recently that I really liked Vettes. The front rubber bumper was okay. But, rubber bumpers on both ends, Vette styling was never the same again. Man, I miss chrome bumpers. Not just on Vettes, but on most everything. Scott
  12. An old man who lived alone wanted to hoe his potato garden, but the work was getting too hard for his aging body. His only son used to help, but had gotten into trouble and was now in prison. The old man wrote to his son. "Dear Son, It looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year; I'm getting too old to be digging. If you were here, I know you would help hoe the plot for me. Love, Dad." A few days later, he received a letter from his son: "Dear Dad, For Heaven's sake, don't dig up the garden! That's were I buried the guns!" At 4 A.M. the next day, a dozen FBI agents and local police showed up and dug up the area. They didn't find any guns, so they apologized and left. The same day, the old man received another letter: "Dear Dad, Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It was the best I could do under the circumstances." Scott
  13. Okay.... This may seem like a weird one. But, has anybody ever offered a model of the Ford GT40 Mk III? The street version of the original GT40 series. I kind of like the looks of the car. Scott
  14. The more I look, the more I'm thinking the the Revell/Fujimi kits are the way to go. No engine. But the body looks great. Less hassles and should look great on the shelve. Scott
  15. Interesting. I built the Tall Double-T kit and found no problems assembling the rear end what so ever. It's my understanding both kits are exactly the same, other than the "tall" vs "chopped" bodies. Scott
  16. The grille is the big difference between a '60 and '61 Falcon. The '60 is concave. The '61 convex. The Futura came out in '61. Beyond that, there are not a lot of diffences. Scott
  17. The link to the past tread is a little help. But also a little confusing. I too am interest in Ford GT kits. Not so much the MkIV version like Brian, but earlier MkIs or MkIIs. From what I can tell from going back and reading the previous treads, for the money, the Aurora (/Revell) for the early cars is the best kit? The MPC kit for the MkIV? I want a kit that's not too expansive, inaccurate, requires lots of modifications, or is hard to build. The best Ford GT kit I ever built is the mid-2000s Polar Lights snap-kit of the contemporary GT of the time. For the older cars, what compares to that? Scott
  18. Commented on the van in the truck section. I like the boat too. Other than the "water drops". Over all, very nice. Scott
  19. Since it can't be built as a "factory stock" Ford Econoline, I'll be passing on this one. Scott
  20. Very nice. Good job. Scott
  21. I'm not keen on the bumpers or the grille. But, you did a nice job on the kit. The paint and stripes look right for the time. Scott
  22. Very nice. I especially like the way you did the the side windows behind the front doors. But, everything else looks good too. Nice job. Scott
  23. Yea I'm curious about that too. I assume its the Hasegawa kit and not the Revell? It looks great. Scott
  24. I still, with flaws and all, I like this kit. And I'm still hoping for a '67 SS/RS convertible down the road. Scott
  25. I'm not a big Citroen fan, I would buy and build one of these. I'm surprised the DS has never been offered in kit form in 1/24th or 1/25th scale before this. Scott
