Who makes the best 1/24th scale kit of a Toyota 2000GT? I assume Hasegawa. I don't care one way or another if it's a curbside, or has an engine. And, can any of the 2000GT kits be built portraying the car with left hand drive? Scott

Heck, I and everybody else in our local model car club just use cotton balls to apply "Future". No need for dipping or spraying it on with an airbrush. Just wipe it on with a cotton ball. It's simple and works great! Scott

Got my Revell GT-40 Mk II kit in the mail yesterday. On opening it up, it is obvious that it's the Fujimi kit. Molded in white. Very nice kit. Looks like it will be easy and fun to build. Scott

A lot of you are excited by the 918. I wish Revell would give us a 917 instead. Make it a '70 917K. Gulf-Porsche livery. Scott

Another great review (other than the few small mistakes already pointed out). Again I like your YouTube reviews. But again, another kit I will not be buying because it can not be built as the stock version of the car. I'd love to see Round 2, or anybody else for that matter, give us a "showroom stock" version of the '70 or '71 Cyclone. Like MPC did in the day, before this version of the kit was first offered. Chris that is one great reveiw on this kit. By the way, I like your enthusiasm. Model building should be fun. And it is a fun model. Despite your great review, or maybe because of it, I again will not be adding this kit to my collection. I'm not a big fan of custom vans. Especially 4-wheel drive vans. Still it's a great review. Good job of showing us most everything. I think you may have missed showing us the clear parts. But who cares. You showed us enough to get a good feel for the kit. If your other reviews are this good, I may have subscribe. Thank you. Scott

I got the Revell (Fujimi) Ford GT-40 #2 I order off of eBay already. Won it Sunday. Got it today. From Youngstown, OH to Minneapolis, MN in only 3 days. Pretty quick. It was a sealed kid. I unsealed it. Very nice looking kit. And for sure the Fujimi kit in a Revell box. A good way to get a Fujimi kit. It was a bit cheaper in price being a Revell box. Any how.... Nice kit kit. Looks like it will be a nice build. Scott

My nomination for best model of 2014 maybe Mongram's Slingster. A fun and cool total redo of the old classic Sizzler kit. But, no parts can interchange between the new and old kit. The new version is scaled down to a true 1/25th scale. I may have been happy with the chance to buy a reissue of the original. But, I'm really happy and impressed that Revell went and redid this kit. It was by far the biggest surprise to me in the last year. Scott P.S. I think my nomination meets all the criteria above, but I don't really understand why there should be so many restrictions. I'd like to hear everyone's view. Even if it's not something I agree with.

Was talking with a co-worker today about the fact that she grew up in Hibbing, MN. The home town of Bob Dylan, and were they mine a lot of iron ore. A area referred to by most Minnesotans as the "Iron Range." So I said to her, "Oh your one of those Iron Strangers (rather than the "normal" Iron Ranger). She said, "Yup. But now I'm De-Ranged. I had never heard that one before. Man, I kind of wish I was from the Range, so I could use that joke. Scott

I've got a '67 friction T-bird Chris. Sorry to say it's not sale. Even through it is molded (painted?) in the ugliest lime green you'll ever see. Scott

Any idea on how many "street" legal GT-40s of all types were sold in the US back in the day? And how expensive were they? And was quality as bad on the street Mk Is as I've read they were with the Mk IIIs? I assume the race cars were indivually prepared and did not have the quality control issues of Mk IIIs. It's interesting to read Car and Driver's review of the Mk III written back in 1967. They were not impressed. The build quality was not good at all. Especially for a car priced at $18,000. The price they claimed of about 7 new Mustangs at the time! Scott

I like both models, but I'm really impressed with the way the Blazer turned out. I've thought about trying to build a stock version myself, but questioned if it was worth doing with that kit or not. Scott

I want to second the request to see more photos. I love Austrailian cars and am always interested in knowing more about them. Never about the promos of Australian car before this. Very cool! Oh, and Chris is right about wheelbase difference between the Falcon and Comet. Scott

For bodies, I only use lacquer paints now days. Quicker drying time. No orange peel. Scott

Very cool. Did riding the "short bus" have same meaning back then as it does today? I don't remember see anything at our schools other than the big ones back then. I know the small ones were made. You'd see them in truck brochures from time to time. I always assumed they were use in more rural areas. Any how, again very nice job. Looks as good as the picture of the real thing. Scott

Got a Revell (Fujimi) GT-40 Mk II on eBay for just under $30, with shipping. Got the #2 car. Which I believe was the '66 Daytona winning car. Looking forward to building this. The only other "LeMans" type sports car I want a model of now, is a '70 Gulf-Porsche 917. Again Fujimi makes one, but prices are a little rich for me right now. Rick (Mark IV), as far as street legal Mk Is, were there any brought into the United States at the time? I thought they tried to, but they could not pass mainly the goverment headlamp regulations. Both the headlamps themselves and the height of the lamps were a problem. The Mk IIIs were built mainly with this problem in mind. Between the outrageous price, very poor build quality, and some say the looks, this made the Mk IIIs very poor sellers. And with changing regulations coming in the US for 1968, it wasn't worth continuing the project. I don't know the history of street legal GT-40s in the US beyond that. I know serveral Mk Is were sold as road cars in Europe. Scott
