  1. Yea, you've got to watch out for that. All my "school" jokes are G rated. PG at the worst. Even with the high school kids. Scott
  2. Hey, none of my jokes are original, made up by me. But, I'm glad you still like it. Which reminds me, a couple of months ago I'm working with some 3rd graders that I work with from time to time (and I should be working with them again, a week from this coming Friday). At lunch, a kid at one table turns to me, telling me that another kid at their table is telling my jokes. Stealing them from me! I said, "It's okay. I didn't invent the jokes." And I told them that "I had hoped that they not only thought them funny, but would share them with others. That's part of fun of telling jokes." So if your looking for original jokes from me. Forget it. I'm not that talented. I may have a good original funny story from time to time. But as far as I know, I have never come up with a good original joke in my entire life. And that's okay. So expect more oldies, but goodies (we hope) from me in the future. In fact here is another one: I once heard of a songwriter who tried to compose a drinking song. But he could never get past the first three bars. Scott
  3. I like the '67 Galaxie convertible from that same movie. Scott
  4. I have two. Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds. And a real obscure one, Louis de Rochemont's Windjammer. A great album sound track from an even more obscure movie of the same name. Scott
  5. This movie is still a favorite of mine. Love Dick Shaw in the '62 Dodge trying to run Milton Berle and Terry Thomas off the road. And you got to give Ethel Merman credit her willingness to play the character she played in that movie. Who would have thought a person of her class could have play someone so funny? Plus the gas station scene with Winters. Another great one! This movie is still great. And not just for the cars. Though the cars make it worth watching too. Scott
  6. I'm sure I've said it before. But, I'm going to say it again. This is one of the all time great kits. I've built several over the years. And I plan on building at least one more, a custom, in the future. If you don't own one, you should. It goes together nicely. And comes with so many building options and parts that can be used on other builds. Scott
  7. Back in the late 70's serveral people in this country (the USA) use to get European style headlamps, mainly for Mercedes. At the time I though they looked cool compared to the seal beam lamps we were forced to have on our cars. Now that most cars here have composite headlamps like the older European cars, I kind of miss the look of the old round seal beams. It's interesting to look back and see how stylists use to design front ends to acomadate the old US spec headlamps. Scott
  8. Interesting kit. Are those the turn signals on the cowl, rather than the front fenders? Did the carpet in the trunk come with the kit? Or is that something you added? And see that it's right hand drive, does the kit offer the option for left hand drive? Scott
  9. Fun article on splitting the '67 Impala. Thanks. Scott
  10. So this comes around to another thread, does anybody make a model of the Ford GT40 Mk IV any more? Scott
  11. Okay, I just got done looking at the AMT Hardcastle and McCormick Coyote on a Google search. That sure is not a GT40. So, did they ruin their old GT Mk IV to make that thing? And I'm sorry, but to me at least, that thing is just plain ugly. I was very disappointed to see what I found in my search. Scott
  12. So could Round 2 reissue the GT40 Mk IV in its original form? What did Hardcastle and McCormick Coyote model kit look like? A GT40 Mk IV or a real Coyote? Any photos? I'd love to see MPC's GT40 Mk IV reissued. Scott
  13. I don't think he asked about the '62s or '63s. But, your right about the differences. Though I do think the gravel shield may have been used on the '61 Futura. I'll have to go back and check on that. Scott
  14. Wow! Very cool. Scott
  15. Another stunning build Harry. Scott
  16. Not many left here in the States either. At least not around here were they use salt on the roads in winter. Scott
  17. I don't believe that was a GT40. It was some kind of kit car. In fact I think it was a car called the Coyote. Scott
  18. Okay Revell or Moebius, how about a Corvair Ramside for those of us who can't build as well as Dean? A Greenbriar would be cool too. Scott
  19. '73 is last year until recently that I really liked Vettes. The front rubber bumper was okay. But, rubber bumpers on both ends, Vette styling was never the same again. Man, I miss chrome bumpers. Not just on Vettes, but on most everything. Scott
  20. An old man who lived alone wanted to hoe his potato garden, but the work was getting too hard for his aging body. His only son used to help, but had gotten into trouble and was now in prison. The old man wrote to his son. "Dear Son, It looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year; I'm getting too old to be digging. If you were here, I know you would help hoe the plot for me. Love, Dad." A few days later, he received a letter from his son: "Dear Dad, For Heaven's sake, don't dig up the garden! That's were I buried the guns!" At 4 A.M. the next day, a dozen FBI agents and local police showed up and dug up the area. They didn't find any guns, so they apologized and left. The same day, the old man received another letter: "Dear Dad, Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It was the best I could do under the circumstances." Scott
  21. Okay.... This may seem like a weird one. But, has anybody ever offered a model of the Ford GT40 Mk III? The street version of the original GT40 series. I kind of like the looks of the car. Scott
  22. The more I look, the more I'm thinking the the Revell/Fujimi kits are the way to go. No engine. But the body looks great. Less hassles and should look great on the shelve. Scott
  23. Interesting. I built the Tall Double-T kit and found no problems assembling the rear end what so ever. It's my understanding both kits are exactly the same, other than the "tall" vs "chopped" bodies. Scott
  24. The grille is the big difference between a '60 and '61 Falcon. The '60 is concave. The '61 convex. The Futura came out in '61. Beyond that, there are not a lot of diffences. Scott
