  1. It turned out great. I love the color....Keep building.
  2. You got the hang of it...Now build another one......and another........and another.. It's a nice build. The paint came out great...See Rattle cans are our friends.
  3. As always. Cutting around the outskirts of reality! Totally Wild Ira! Another incredible build! I so enjoy the creations you come up with. I wish I could share in your ability to go to the extremes...some day maybe.
  4. Chris. Thanks for the reply about Alclad. That link was great and the videos were just what I wanted to see. The nearest dealer to me is only 180 miles. Guess i'll save up some cash and make the dash Ha ha. Keep blazing along on that build.
  5. Hey Chris. This build is incredible. The attention to detail is outstanding and your skills are mind blowing. I do have a question for you. Back when you started painting some engine parts, you made reference to "Alcad Aluminum" Is that the Alcad plating process that got posted in the tips and tricks section with the Jay Leno video or is it just an airbrush application? I have for a long time been frustrated with the way chrome parts look out of the box but have yet come up with a better alternative or better yet, one that fits in my budget. Any input from you or other builders following this build would be appreciated. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the finished build and i'm sure you feel the same way..
  6. I've seen this kit and caught some episodes of the show but i don't get the relevance of the guitar? I'm not complaining, it's actually pretty neat but why is it in the kit? BTW thanks for posting the photos
  7. I like this build! Very creative. I'll be waiting for more posts..Keep going
  8. Wow. I just found this thread. This thing is coming together nicely. A question though. You mentioned the "putty" (evercoat 2 part polyester glazing putty) Where did you get it? I love the way it spreads on like real "Bondo" and it seems to be easy to work with. Now for my 2 cents. The whole project is awsome. I wouldn't change the curve of the side windows, the curve they have works with the concept end while the over all body still holds the Chevelle theme. When i saw the trim piece you put on the side, running through the door. My instant thought was that it would look cool curved in instead of raised out. It seems like it would be too much work and my change the look to much though.. Other than that, this build is going to be incredible. I can't wait to see the final posting in "Under the glass" Be proud! Oh yeah, i forgot to throw this in. Some one mentioned using the left over parts and doing the reverse build. Have you given it any thought? Might be interesting..
  9. That was also my thought, the prices. I was trying to see if they just had a grab bag of odds and ends, they don't. Hex stock, see i never thought of that. good idea and an add-on to that maybe i could drill a small hole on one side and glue a small piece of a pin in it then drill and glue it to my build... Thanks for the suggestion..
  10. I'm on board with the most of the replies. I've had a few transactions on ebay, only 1 has gone wrong. The seller never shipped the product but i paid for it. I called Pay Pal and they had my money back with in 6 hours. If you really got ripped off, it is your obligation to let them know. You have to understand that ebay sellers are just trying to make a few dollars on items. So if you didn't get what you paid for, tell them. If you are only upset that the seller bought an item cheap and marked it up to sell to you. That is how every buisness works. Best of luck to you..
  11. I've got a few issues, i find them a good source of inspiration. Google it , they should have an overview of issues, that may help you out. As for this site, i believe the members would tell you that "anything that inspires you is worth something"
  12. Welcome to the site. Alot of fun stuff going on here, enjoy.
  13. WOW, these are some awsome sites (all saved in fav's). I'm blown away by the selction of items available. Thanks for the links.
  14. Awwww, the standard by which all things are measured by. She did a fantastic job, i'm impressed and you seem very proud of her (not just cause she builds with plastic) I'd have a hard time letting her take it home..
  15. Wow, that thing is beautifully done..I didn't see it talked about, but is it kit or a scratch build? Either way, you did a fantastic job on it. Your skills are very diverse.
  16. I've been following alot of big scale builds for some of my upcoming builds and got curious as to where you guys are getting all these tiny nuts, bolts and screws? Any one with any input, please give me the details. who has them how are they bought (bulk or per piece), how many sizes are there...any thing else you can think of. You guys are really knocking these builds out of the park and the detail that just a small bolt gives to a build is making alot of difference.. Thanks in advance..steve
  17. Welcome back. I took a break for awhile and after finding this site, got inspired to start up again also. Enjoy your stay and learn what you can.
  18. I have to agree with this statement. And also welcome Joe to the site. Dive in and have fun.
  19. Nice and clean. Very good build.
  20. Very inspiring! The detail is incredible and yes, i too think the muffler looks better now. It was really distracting to the overall appearance of the build in the first set of photos. Be Very Proud!
  21. I'm in with everyone else "Practicing paintig" If this is practice, i can't wait to see what happens when you master it. Wow ! I'm still trying to figure out the order of all the layers..I bow to your greatness..
  22. Like everyone else has said. Great combination, nice clean builds.
  23. Some very nice builds after your vacation. Welcome back and can't wait to see more, i got a feeling you've got some mad skills up your sleeve.
  24. I love the name "Bondo Bill" Thanks for the compliment. I just noticed in the photo that the license plate is crooked though...Now i'll have to tear it apart and fix it..LOL
  25. Thank you everyone for the possitive comments. I almost don't know what to do next, after getting this one out of the way finally.. New Build? or Rebuild?
