Revell Peterbilt 359 (First Build)
kilrathy10 replied to TokyoDrift99's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
To be honest, this isn't a bad build at all.....You did a very good job getting those infernal wheels and tires together....I've found that it depends on the model, itself, as to whether or not they go together right or not....Yours looks good....And the paint came out quite nice, as well....And if you hadn't said there was no windshield, we wouldn't have known.... Looks good thataway.....And I'm with you on the decals....You've used them quite tastefully.....I like it....Very nice work.... -

Lol.....I do miss the orange, and as this project isn't finished, yet....I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating locating some more orange.....I really like that color.....Every time I look at this, I think.....I gotta slap some orange on it.....That's the only reason this thing isn't finished, yet..... -

kilrathy10 replied to kilrathy10's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I must recant my statement about the trailer's length....It is difinitely spot on....I totally enjoyed building it....It's an awesome kit and I thank everyone from Moebius for putting out such awesome kits....Thanks, Brian, for setting me straight and making me go back and verify my measurements..... -

Constalation, Can Do and AeroMax by Sergey
kilrathy10 replied to Sergey's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I thought I had recognized the Can Do wrecker.....This is probably the best representation of this model ever built in recent years....That's why there so many pictures of it everywhere.....Just beautiful work.....Just beautiful....And that Aeromax is just as awesome.....Probably the best one of those I've seen, as well.... -
Just look what you guys have gone and made me do.....Everywhere I look I see these things all over the forum....All I can think of is that I want one, too.... Well, since I don't have a Papa Truck bed, I had to make my own....Just your basic ramp truck, not meant to represent any particular manufacturer or anything.....Just what I can see from other's posts....Lots of eyeballin'.....Ain't no plans....AND, I get to do one of my favorite things to a truck.....STREEEEETCH !!!! I worked the better part of the day to get this far....The sun was out and the humidity was down....Excellent weather for painting....About 70 degrees.....

Volvo VN670 and 53' Trailer
kilrathy10 replied to kilrathy10's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks, Guys, for all the support you gave me on this project......I really appreciate it..... You're right, Kostas....I completely forgot about the license plates.....I was gonna dig the Texas plates out from the Pete 377 kit.....Totally forgot....Gotta hop onto that.... And I believe Kostas has answered you question, Kevin....Thanks so much for your interest..... And thank God for all of you....May He bless you, richly..... -
Volvo VN670 and Trailer Completed
kilrathy10 replied to kilrathy10's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
It's done, Boys.....You can check it out Under Glass....Thanks a lot for all your support..... -
Well, Boys, I've completed another one....I built the truck pretty much box stock with the only addition being the headache rack....A modified Revell Pete 359 unit.....The trailer is the new Moebius issue and a great one it is.....The only thing I'd like to point out is that it scales out to a couple feet short of 53', though.....Not a problem, but I'm wondering why....If you count the refer unit, it is 53' on the money, though....Anyway....Here it is....Thanks for looking......I had fun with this one.....No real issues to report, kit wise, anyway.....Any discrepencies were all me....

Hey, Man!!! You did it!!!! I knew you could.....I just knew you had it in you......And that's what this forum is for.....I'm glad you had the courage to post it like you did....Just think....If you hadn't, you wouldn't have gotten the info you needed.....I'm just glad I could help, Man....It looks awesome, too....So glad you finished it....And I'm so glad something I recommended was actually a viable solution..... Awesome job....Love that color....That Burnt Orange is awesome..... And thanks to all you guys on this forum that encouraged this man....I think we may have won another one over to truck modeling.... -

You keep plugging along on this, Man....I think you're gonna have a really nice trailer to show for the work you're putting into it....I pretty much eyeball just about everything and don't pay much attention to accuracy.....If it looks right, it is right....Just like building a fence, to me.....Who cares what the actual rating would be in 1:1....It's a model, Man...And I'm not saying anything against anyone, either, but it's a model.....It's whatever you say it is, Justin.....Thank you for taking the time to post it....I can't wait to see more.....I like where you're going with this.... -
One Part of the fleet done
kilrathy10 replied to alangarber's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This is one very nice looking rig....It's always been one of my favorites.....I could only dream of getting one of these as a kid, but I was able to acquire one as an adult....It's long since been gone, though....Sold for $135 on ebay.....Out of all the stuff they've reissued, I don't know why they haven't done that with this one, yet....You've done an awesome job on this one.... -
