Haven't posted in a while so thought I would show my latest project. Its a amt camaro that started out life on my bench as a incomplete glue bomb. Stripped it all down and with the help of the modelhaus and spare kits was able to restore it. it fiery orange to match my real car. I used fireball modelworks tire decals which worked real nice. Enjoy

Now I have to order the modelhaus kit.

With a little modification everything from the amt kit will fit the johan body. I did the conversion on this. Everything fit the johan great

I am going to have to get a second job to afford all the neat moebius stuff coming out.

The amt 49 ford comes with a first gen 331 caddy engine as well.

Something I did on my 67 toronado motor was use the valve covers off a junk amt olds motor reshaping the heads slightly and used the oil filler tube. After painting and minor detailing it looks like a olds v-8. Of course you could steal the motor from the revell or amt olds cutlass kits.

I've done two. The mpc body mates up to the newer amt chassis nicely.

Mpc made them. They pop up time to time on ebay. Ratnasty on here does a 70-73 t/a trans kit. Which is nice.

Yes the 67 is a modified version of the 68.

I have a old amt 70 camaro body. The one with full front bumper and vinyl top. The grill and bumper and body are in good shape. Looking for someone to cast me a few bodies and bumpers.

I have dealt with B.n.l resins. Great people to deal with.

Or custom convertible with Carson top.

I use the amt 68 road runner chassis and engine for a lot of johan restorations.

Where I work a suburu outback jumped the curb backwards at speed. Hit the tree then they drove off. The only way we knew it was a suburu outback was the pieces of glass left behind and the trim pieces with the car logo on it. Still trying to figure out how he did it.

The modelhaus has the grills and bumpers to convert the amt chevies to 69 or 67. I have some and they are excellent.

What's interesting is my wife's 98 s-10 blazer 4x4 weighs as much as my friends 56 cadillac convertible.

In the pacific northwest this is a far cry from last week. Highs in the twenties and lows on the single digits. And snow and ice saturday night. This week temps in the 40s and above and wind and rain. Cant wait for summer.
