  1. Ill be waiting for new items when you release them. Joe
  2. Jimmie has good stuff. I have built a few of his pieces. Some needed a little refining but built into nice examples.
  3. The eldorado of 57 and 58 were not your typical cadillacs. They were hand built and one off from the doors back. Also the trim in the fenders was eldorado only. The standard cadillacs had the blades in the hood unlike the eldorados which had them in the fenders. The interior was similiar but different on the eldorados. The barritz and seville had a lot of interior trim which wss unique to that model. They also were only models that had tripower. I have access to the one i restored and all the photos from the restoration my friend and i did if anyone needs a reference photo.
  4. I manage a autozone. The color you need is chevrolet orange by vht. Part number is sp123. Autozone no longer stocks duplicolor engine paint.
  5. From experience with this kit a couple trouble areas are the windshield frame as it is separate and you have to cut the hood out as it is attached to the body in a few spots. Once its cut out the front end is flimsy till you get it assembled. The top is separate and to add it requires finess and filler. Also you have to fit the glass to the car by trial and error i have to sand the edges to fit. The valve covers are oversize for the engine. When i build these i use a the engine and engine compartment details from the 59 caddy as it is more detailed. To build an accurate representation requires a good amount of research especially on the interior. It does build into a nice model with care and attention to detail. I know this as i have access to a real 58 eldo conv. I spent eight years restoring my friends from the frame up. And i see it all the time. His is triple black. Beautiful cars. Also the side panels in back are not chrome. They are stainless steel.
  6. Find the prostreet coronet. It has the best prostreet hardware and tires. I have done several prostreets with it. I just cut the back half and adapt to the kits frame and floorpan. Never used the chevelle one.
  7. The wheels are actually two piece with a hub cap in the center. The outer wheel is steel and the insert is a one piece casting which was aluminum alloy which was then riveted to the outer wheel. They first appeared on the 55 eldorado and sevilles. They could be had in gold anodized or in chrome plating. They were made by kelsey hayes or youll find alcoa stampings as well. I have a set on my 56 coupe de ville and on my 53 sedan. They are really nice wheels. The imex caddies have very nice renditions of the sabre wheels.
  8. That is when you realize you have been working way too much. Lol
  9. Mpc did that body and hood thru 73, the 74 to 76 firbird by mpc used the same hood. If you find these on auction sight make sure the scoop extensions are there. They are separate of hood. I have a couple in my stash.
  10. You cast the formula hood and body sean? Did i read that right. Please pm me with details.
  11. I think reliable resin used to do them.
  12. I would like to see round two reissue the mpc 70's camaros, the amt ones would be ok as well. I try and get them off evilbay when ever i can.
  13. Im not a big fan of this series of ford trucks. But after seeing these i have to have these as well to add to my collection. These are going to be nice.
  14. Replicas and miniatures. Machined aluminum specialties.
  15. Thanks guys. Looking for extra set so i can modify into 2wd 3/4 ton wheels. Looked at bnl wheels, not same but could work if needed. Thanks for the help as always.
  16. I bought these wheels off of ebay for a project. The detail is really great and i would like to know if anyone here knows who might have cast these so i can get more. Thanks for any help in advance.
  17. I actually have the asian copy and testors copy of the ferrari. The asian kit is identical to the testors right down to the colors of the plastic sprues. And there are no references anywhere decal wise or in print to ferrari. The plastic sprues if memory serves me correctly says academy on them. I think the guage decals are actually better in this kit than testors.
  18. I do have luck using the bottles of metalizer by brush. It just takes a little extra work. Ive also been able to mix it with regular testors enamels to get unique colors.
  19. I drive a 2005 mustang v6 5 speed. The most dependable car i have had in years. Besides my 77 camaro.
  20. After opening the kit and seeing the extra tires and the aluminum injection stacks i didnt mind paying 29.00 when regular kits are running 25.00.
  21. After looking over this kit more and from the wifes input im going to build this little car stock with the four cylinder . I havent been so excited to build a model till this came out. This will be fun.
  22. The cylinder up front was also used on eldos and caddies for a reservior for the level ride airbag system which was operated by the belt driven compressor on the engine which doesnt make sense on this car because it has coil springs. A lot of caddies with airbags were retrofited to coil springs because of high failure rates. Looking good making me want to start on my seville.
  23. I saw on the shelf of my lhs yesterday that they have rereleased this kit.
  24. From the directions it looks like the 4 banger is so basic it does not even come with a starter.
