  1. Wow that is really nice. Great job on the weathering.
  2. Congrats man, looks really cool. I remember how excited I was when I got my 86 Toyota pickup about 2 1/2 years ago for my first car. It was my dad's before it was mine and I had wanted it ever since I knew what a truck was. I just had to do a major overhaul on the motor but now that it's done it should have a ton of miles left in it! Enjoy the VW and good luck with the restoration.
  3. Dang, that looks killer! What color and brand is the paint?
  4. I have been struggling with the entry process every year so far. I think I got in this year and last year because I got the thank you page, but not the year before. You would think that after 3 years they would have this figured out by now.
  5. Awesome to hear you got it back, time to ride it and enjoy it!
  6. I hear you on that, bikes are way too expensive to maintain now. I went there for the first time I think in 2005 and it was at least 100 degrees, I can't imagine racing for 30 min+2 laps in that heat! These guys are truly amazing. Luckily this year it was a nice 80-85 degrees.
  7. Thanks guys, did the best I could with the very limited skill I have as a photographer. Hopefully my English teacher likes them to because they will be part of a project.
  8. Very nice build, I really like the stealth look.
  9. I don't have one but if you go to Youtube and type in the GoPro channel, they are probably up there. Edit: I just checked and they are not up yet, but my guess is that they will be up there soon. Maybe just try searching "hangtown national 2013 gopro".
  10. Here are some pictures I took at the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals. The track is Hangtown MX just outside Sacramento CA. Figured I would test out the new off-topic area and post it up for anyone interested. Enjoy! Parade lap
  11. Don't feel too bad, this is the first time I have heard of them as well.
  12. I'm really sorry about your bike. I have an RM 250 dirtbike that I treat like royalty and I can't imagine what I would do if someone took it. I really hope it turns up, hang in there.

    Dodge Viper ACR

Thanks guys, this car makes some sinister horsepower to!!!
  14. Killer build BK, it really came out nice. I really like the color choice, eye catching and shiney!
  15. They have a very specific set of rules posted on the site about what is eligible for box stock and unlimited. I'm assuming you are entering box stock, and I am pretty sure I read on there that you cannot use custom decals, but I would definitely read them yourself because I am only about 80% sure.
  16. Wow, that is an awesome looking car. These pikes peak cars just look like nothing else.
  17. I honestly don't know what to call it. Maybe a fastwagon?
  18. I learned more from this thread than my entire senior year of high school.
  19. I can't believe people are having this big of an issue with the off-topic section. I honestly think it is a great idea because it cleans up the board a bit, since it is hard to talk about models only at all times. I would like to second the suggestion of it being placed at the top near the General section though, I feel there is a better chance of it being used there.
  20. Thanks Mike and Lee, hopefully I can throw some bondo on it to smooth it out soon.
  21. About a year ago I bought a Revell 69 Camaro kit from a vendor at NNL West, but unfortunately for me, I didn't look well enough at the contents and the body was cracked and broken. I had done business with the vendor before and he has always been very kind to me, so I honestly believe he had no idea, plus it is ultimately on me because I looked inside and still didn't see the broken body! I have been trying to figure out what to do with it, and a few days ago an idea came to me, why not make it a fastback? It was mainly the roof and trunk that were damaged, so I decided to cut out the trunk and extend the roof to give it a fastback look. This is the first time I have ever cut into a body, but I figured what the heck since it was broken anyway. Here is what I have so far: For filler, so far I have only used baking soda and super glue, it works really well. The roof also has a 3 scale inch chop. I have to fix the body warp, hopefully it won't be too bad.
  22. Killer build Ken, it came out awesome.
  23. Hopefully she remembers the awesome times when you taught her to ride that dirtbike, because we really could use some OHV friendly lawyers right now. Good luck with the exam!
  24. I live right in between these areas and consistently drive both ways to go to varies MX tracks, and I can honestly say that at any given time there are a lot that are not moving. I don't know if I would say that most are not moving because there are a few rare times that I have seen almost all of them spinning quickly, but most of the time it seems like the majority are standing still. It really just depends on the day.
