That is awesome!

That is a really nicely done car, great work.

That is really cool! I also like the Nomad III concept on the mag cover, looks like a really smooth design.

Dang, what the heck happened? That really bites but at least your new project is looking good!
-
Thanks midnight, I think you might be right so I changed the title. Still not really sure what it is!

Thanks a bunch for the works of encouragement guys, they are greatly appreciated. Interior is almost built up and hopefully I can post some pictures up soon!

Thanks Dan, hopefully it will be done soon!

That is a good point Slusher, I didn't really think of that.

I like the look Ace, keep it coming!

Well I finally have a bit more to show. The body is painted and polished. It looks good in the pictures but there are a few issues. The biggest problem is that I set the body outside to dry for a few hours after I sprayed the black paint, and it was so hot that it caused the bondo to swell up and even crack. I decided to just leave it since it wouldn't be too noticeable and proceeded to wetsand. Then, I burned through to primer in a few spots, but wasn't worried since I was going to give it the graphite powder treatment to make it look like it was completely black chrome. Unfortunately, the graphite would not stick to the clearcoat so the car is just black, with a few small primer spots. I don't want to strip and repaint so I will just deal with it, but it kind of stinks to know what could have been though. Here is what I have: I wanted to experiment with a flat black grill and I really like it! Here you can see the issue The interior parts were just airbrushed tonight, so it should be together really soon!

Oh man, that General is sweet!

I'll start off by saying that I have a very limited knowledge of these clears, I only know what I have read here and a few other places online. From what I have read it can be very dangerous if you do not protect yourself completely from it, skin included. That said, for me, I don't really think it is an option since I paint in my garage with the large door open for ventilation. The last thing I would want is to have fumes creep through the garage door and expose anyone in my house to harmful vapors. I guess I would say it is not worth it for me, but others with a different setup make it work very well, so I can't speak directly whether anyone should use it or not.

That is an incredible looking car. I honestly think they nailed the look and horsepower is of the charts! -
Heat. Heat is bad. Mmmkay.

Ouch, that's a bummer. Maybe try cracking the windows? When you don't have AC that is a life saver. -
Mechanical mistakes when building

I know, it just shows an utter lack of respect for the other builders. Bring a drain pan people! -
Ever had a "new" idea "stolen"?

Yep, I was building a dodge Deora a while back and almost right when I started my project, another member of a different forum posted pictures of a completed one almost exactly like how I planned to build mine. I still built it exactly as I originally planned but it seemed a bit weird to almost copy someone else's build. -
It's funny how everyone has their own preferences. I personally like the rims a lot, and the color choice. Overall it has a really nice look to it.
-
Thanks for the info. That has been bugging the heck out of me forever! It all is definately beginning to make sense now.
-
Great build Slusher, awesome paint as always. I really like the color you chose, very subtle yet it stands out from the crowd.

Jantrix, I have to ask, what does that "eye" symbol represent on your diorama. Sorry if this is a dumb question but this crazy kid at my high school used to use that to sign all of his papers rather than write his name on them. That, and he also always wore an army helmet and carried around a broken piece of wood. Any info because I have been trying to figure it out for over a year now. Scale-Master, not to overload you, but I would also be interested in you critique. I have always enjoyed seeing your work and having someone with your skill set give me some pointers would definitely help my building. I know this is sort of a grey area on most of these forums so if you wanted to do it by PM that would be fine.
