Have some progress to show on my F-40. I went all out on the detail (for me) on this motor. I scratch built my own alternator bracket to get rid of Harry's dreaded "floating alternator"! I also built some coil packs and added spark plug wires and covers. Most of the engine parts were flat cleared and I am really happy with how they came out, it really looks like aluminum. Some of the exhaust was painted with a custom mix to simulate what I saw in reference pictures as well. Here are the pics, hope you enjoy!

How do you build so quickly?

Dang, they really had prizes like that back in the day? I would build the best model of my life if there was something like that now! On a side note, since there will be no more speed channel and I'm assuming then no more Gearz, will there be a 2014 contest?

Good to hear they are planning an extension of supercross, I can begin breathing again. It's good to finally see it getting the mainstream attention it has deserved for years. Currently, they only show motocross on FUEL and NBCSN, not on Speed, but since it is on FUEL that is why you see it listed. I really hope they extend that as well, the owner of the series has really worked hard over the years to get tv coverage and it has been great for the sport.

We must be watching TV at the exact same times I honestly think the motocross coverage is better from the computer, seems like it comes in clearer for me.

I am beyond tired of the stick and ball sports that any moron can play getting more coverage than any form of motorsport. Hopefully they will continue to show the Monster Energy Supercross races live, if not I'm not sure what I will do. I don't understand how there needs to be yet another useless sports channel in a sea filled with useless sports channels. This reminds me of when they canged Fuel Tv over to full time UFC coverage. That was one of my favorite channels since they showed nothing but action sports originally. I really hope Gearz can find a new home, I really enjoy watching Stacey work and the projects he comes up with are expensive, but very interesting. Sorry for the rant, but I just needed to let it go.
