  1. Thanks gents, guess it's time to look for another engine to put in the Pete..... Looking at the list that was posted on the forum here of the engines and kits they were in, I'd be leaning more towards the Detroit 8V-71 8 cyl or the Detroit 12V-71 with the blowers on it. If not those I'd go with the Cummin's NTC-475 twin turbo.. although not sure on how hard it would be to find these... I know the 12V is in resin by a few casters so it'd come down to price on that one. However don't want to buy a complete kit just to pull the engine assembly out of it either...... Will have to look into it more and see what I can do, at work right now and break is short. Look more when I get home!!!!!!! Thanks again for the info guys!!!!!!
  2. I put this in my Pete wrecker years ago and I don't know what kit it came out of or what size engine it is.... thanks in advance everyone!!!!!!
  3. thank you Jacobus, hoping mine turns out half as nice as some of these beautiful rigs I've seen on the Forum!!!!!!
  4. Gonna be nice no matter the style!!!!
  5. Wish you the best in your future endeavors!!!!!!! Have fun with the Grand Kids!!!!!!
  6. Hey Mike, originally it had the white upper roof and lower under the belt line... It was re painted once and just shot in the blue.. She looks good at a thirty foot glance, but not so when ya get close to her.... Drivers bed side shows some rust coming through. Front cab mounts are going and the inner wheel wells and core support are pretty bad... We have those three parts ready to go in from a truck in Cali.. Need to get cab mounts and complete brake system fixed first though!!!!! Some year??!!
  7. Taking cab, bunk house,l and hood in to work tonight. Gonna do some sanding on my breaks!!!!! Also the bunk house will start going together tonight!!!!! It's slowly getting there!!!!!
  8. Koolness!!!!!! Can't wait for more!!!!
  9. Now that looks kool too!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!
  10. I'm the same way, it's gotta look "right" or I may not finish it. Gets tossed back in the box and left. I can be to much of a perfectionist myself... I just think sharing what you do will be enjoyment as well as improve a persons building as it allows people to say hey, sometimes it pushes the envelope when a builder says to clean this up or that up and it also makes us more aware on outlet next build!!! When it matters anyway!! Lol....
  11. Great build and I think you nailed the interpretation quite well!!!!!!
  12. Awesome build!!!!!! Color scheme looks spot on!!!
