  1. I've got all four of his books and autographed to boot!!!!! Although they're autographed to a friend of mine that passed away several years ago!!!!
  2. Well here it is so far!!!!!
  3. Very kool Art, have to get pics of mine up to compare them..... I used the same kit and built it mostly out of the box. I did put a bench seat in and changed the intake and carbs. I still need four of the fish mouth air cleaners to put on it. I also changed the collectors on the headers so they weren't so big looking....
  4. It'd be kool to talk to Paul about the car and the movie and such!!!!! To think how well the movie has done and still how it's so popular even today!!!!!! I know they didn't think the movie would do to well and it's become a Hot Rod iconic movie!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to George Lucas!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks Art, I have most of those pics but not the one of Paul standing on top of the tires. Or the close up of the side over top the other dragster.. I watched video clips of the drag scenes and stopped it and took a bunch of stills of the car and close ups of some areas to get an idea of detail.... I used the one side shot of the car that is pretty close to scale when printed out and my body lays perfect inside of the photo of the real car. With that I'm hoping the angle on the rear of the body is on the money!!!!!! If I wasn't so hung up on this I'd ask Jimmy if he'd want to cast it... not sure how well it'd do if people can't get decals for it though!?!? Right now I have to find a color to match the color on the blower!!!! Thanks for the help everyone!!!!!
  6. it's about how Paul is accusing other resin casters out there as rip off artists and how Modelhaus is the king of all and how they wouldn't do such a sacrilege thing as copying someone else's work even when we all know how they got their start. I say who cares what the other guy does! They have to put food on their tables too!!!!!
  7. Thanks Gabriel, just went over and tossed him a message... LOL Hope I'll hear back but not sure!! Thank you John!!!!!!!! I have the block, heads, intake and timing cover all painted and together... Next step is to start plumbing on the upper end of the engine!!!! Cinch up the shorts and away we go Daddy-o!!!!!!!!!
  8. Also curious to know what paint color would come close to the color on the blower??
  9. ahh by Skip, I went on Fremont and checked them out there too..... I did notice the decals on the kit are way short and don't cover the side panels under the engine!! Mill end up getting a pre wired distributed from Parks to put in it.... i heard the Milner rail was found and is being restored over on the H.A.M.B. Forum!!!!!!
  10. Wouldn't be to hard to make it. If you have some scrap bodies or plastic laying around look for the like shapes in them and cut them out and fit it til it looks right..... I don't know of anyone making this part so it may come down to making it!! Good luck!!!!!
  11. thanks for the info Art. I built the 2003 issue of the Milner Coupe although it is kind of close to the real deal. I should of reworkied the chassis to make it look right but the Coupe is just a display build for here at home.... I did get it built and am now working on the Milner rail... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/122426-milner-dragster/
  12. yeah Jesse, that's where I read that they found the car and are beginning the restoration of it. Nothing has surfaced on it yet though!!!! I read both those threads about three weeks ago!!!!!! i also looked at your build Jesse and kudos on the build!! Me and my A.D.D. are taking it a bit further though! Lol ? Were those decals made by Chris?? They are an nice set of decals!!!!!!
  13. I wasn't going to answer the post you replied to on your other thread but with all that's being said here I letting it go...... Paul I will say this you are good at what you do I will give you that but I think it's all gone to your head.... you come on here and you call other resin casters rip off artists!!!!!! The question I asked on your other thread asking if you used kit parts to make the masters that you do correct??? You answered that you did in fact use kit parts to do so... so now my question is, did you get permission from the kit manufacturers to use their kits and product to turn it around for a profit in the resin market??? Ten to one inner you didn't!!!!!! Therefore in my eyes, your as much of a rip off artist then the rest!!!!!!! Like I said before in the thread about Pedro, there are people on THIS SITE that are doing the very same is which your bantering against.... you're stepping on people's toes right now and leaving a very bad taste in people's mouths!!!!! I can tell you one thing, after all the bashing you've done towards others, I'd buy something from Pedro before I ever bought anything from you!!!!!!!! That is just because the way you come down on people.... The way it looks on here I think your leaving a bad taste in others too!!!!! im done now, wasting my time for no good reason here!!!!!
  14. I'd have to check what I have on my desk top pooter but I think I may have some.......
  15. That turned out awesome!!!!!!!!!! Love the light blue on it!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Got to looking at the photos of the rail and realized the back of the body doesn't come down to a point so I smoothed off the back edge of the body. It is still just a slight bit longer and upward than the kit body is but not by very much.......
  17. So are the body sections and original bumpers from kits??
  18. Wow John, as always it's a treat to watch what you do!!!!!!! Love the detail in the seat and top tube padding!!!!!!!! The engine detail is looking great too!!!!!! Great stuff!!!!!!!!
  19. Nice!!!!!!
  20. Thanks Nick and Scott!!!!! Alan, the real car was found not to long ago from what I found out, forget what website I saw the announcement. Only problem is is the fact nothing is being shown that I've found or seen. I have watched video clips on YouTube and I have the movie here too. I've taken a lot of still photos and zoomed in on a lot for good close ups!!! One thing I've noticed in the decals that have been out there is they don't go all the way under the engine and onto the side panels so I'm going to have to improvise on that one somehow!!!! The chute area on the body is how the real car looks from the tail. Looking at the videos it shows that detail on film...
  21. Thank you Brad!!!!! Body isn't too bad to get to where it is..... sitting with chassis......
