Have to try and seal the hood better. Have a couple spots bleeding through the primer and will show in the white stripes... Hit it again and see what happens

Moved engine back in frame to fit body and look of real rail better. Wired the magneto, filled the back under body with putty to smooth it out better. Axle mounts are on.

Primed and wet sanded. One more coat of white and then tape off stripes! Then shoot the blue!

That'd be the stuff. Mine had been drying for a bit over two weeks and was still rubbery so I sanded it... I have a dehydrator too but no where to use it.. lol Thank ya Ralph!! Wet sanded it today and shoot another coat of primer on it tonight!!

Agreed!! Building his rookie car from 79 using a resin body!

I had to strip the base coat of white I had in it. Paint wouldn’t dry and was rubbery so I sanded it all back down to primer and bought a different primer to use. Will not use that two in one stuff anymore!! So now I need to wet sand the primer and prime again. I have the blue picked out for it and will tape off the stripes before the blue goes on...

Sounds like you have some kool projects in the making and lined up to go. Do you have pics online of any?

Oh yes!!! I built one a few years ago myself. Also traded someone for one made from an old plastic “For Sale” sign.. I have a vacuum formed body I picked up years ago and used it for a template and used Evergreen sheet to build it..
