  1. Brian, Nice old White. Nice weathering not over done. Looks really good. Ken.
  2. Brian, nice build. I have to agree with Harry. A black wash will make it pop. Ken.
  3. JT, as always a true masterpiece. You must be running out of space to park all your big rigs. I have extra room if needed. Very nice job on both truck and trailer. Ken.
  4. JT, Thanks. I have a piece of what ever you want to call it to use for the trailer. The good side is like a mirror and the back side is like the material you use for counter tops. The good side is not made of glass feels more like a thin piece of metal. I have measured it and would be able to make a 48' for sure but no room for errors. I don't know how I would cut it. I was thinking of going to a glass place to see if they might know. I'm thinking that it is a vandal proof mirror that they use in public washrooms. Any ideas???? I just down loaded a couple of pictures for you to look at. It has a total of three layers, total measurements is 3mm thick. Thanks, Ken.
  5. Clayton, Thanks, I looked at a lot of paint jobs on line and when I found Sledgehammer I fell in love with it. I wanted something different and what a task that turned out to be. I had a picture on my desktop background for months, and looked at it for hours wondering how it would look and how I would go about painting it on. The wife got tired of looking at it on the desktop background. I really surprised myself on how well it turned out. I hope the rest of the paint turns out as well as the hood did. It sure is a lot of work masking it off. Ken.
  6. Congratulations to you and your wife. A wonderful bundle of joy I bet. All the best. Ken.
  7. Thanks Gator, I hope the rest of her turns out as well as the hood did. Let me tell you it sure is time consuming. Ken.
  8. I just finished painting the rest of the hood. Here is a what the rest of the truck will look like. The hood was the first to be painted and I was so excited that I needed to show it to everyone. Wow, a lot of masking. Thanks, Ken.
  9. Well that would explain it. I thought I was missing out on a new 1/16 KW. Looks good. Ken.
  10. William, She sure is coming along nicely. I was a little surprised to see that the KW wasn't a long nose. I thought that they all were in 1/16 scale. Both of the 1/16 scale KW's I have are. Ken.
  11. Dennis, Very nice job. One big heavy hauler. Ken.
  12. Steven, Another Large KW 900L Ken. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=WV0moGxlmfs
  13. I get the instruction sheet out and set it out in front of me. Then I have to go all the way down stairs to get my glasses to read them. I get down stairs and forget what I went down there to get . Ken.
  14. Steven, Check out this Large Car Old Diamond Rio. Ken. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=S5WJWvJpEAg
  15. Michael, I spray easy off original, let it sit for a half an hour or so and start scrubbing. Spray and scrub again. I've never let it sit over night. Works for me. Ken.
  16. Steven, I'm not trying to discourage you but that 8" sleeper would be a 200" sleeper on a real truck. That is a motor home. Try searching for custom sleepers to get some ideas. Even the sleepers that JT or myself are doing are only 100" 1:1. The frame really needs to be reinforced also for the weight. Ken.
  17. I use easy off and a old tooth brush. Once you put water to the easy off it will not work. So easy off and no water. Scrub lightly with a old tooth brush.Once your done then rince well and wash with soap and water. Use a good primer before you paint the colour you want. As far as paint colours I would go with silver with a nice clear red over top and black strips. Or as JT would do. Paint it ORANGE. Good luck. Ken.
  18. Sean, looking good nice resto.. nice glue bomb save. Ken.
  19. Jesse, Looking good. Welcome back. Does Lugnut want some extra work to do on the side? I need some wet sanding done. Ken.
