Gerald, Very nice build. Be very careful putting on the mirrors so you don't mess up your paint job. I've done that a few times. Interesting colour you have chosen. She looks very clean. Very nicely done. (remember the mirrors) Ken.

Well the rims and side pipes are all painted and everything is all back together. Let me know what you think of the rims now. I used Tamiya Gun Metal on the rims. I did a light wash on the side pipes. Thanks again for all the help and comments from everyone. Ken.

Thanks to all for all the help on my clue bomb vette. Monty thanks for the pictures they helped me out alot I appreciate it. I decided to paint the rims. Well I look through my drawer of paints looking at all the greys I have and decided on Tamiya Gun Metal. Sooo.....I start painting them and then the mirror falls off windows, steering wheel, firewall fall out followed by sidepipes. In a rage and a few nice words I calmly sit it down and walk away. Well it's almost back together now and I will post some picks once she drys. Now I'm thinking that I should have went lighter in colour but we see. Thanks again everyone. Ken.

Moebius smooth side van trailer
Kenny B replied to KJ790's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Kj, Explain the skirts thing to me. Is this required in all states now? In Canada we don't have anything like this unless the trailer is going to CA. I heard it was for fuel economy in CA? Ken -
Harry, Very nicely done. Ken.

Jon, You know what I would do with the work shop area is split it in half for your wife to use as well. I would be thinking about a 60/40 split right down the middle. Ken. -
Ken, do you take these pictures after your crew leaves the shop? Looking good. Ken.

A friend said he had a model that his son had started and lost interest in building. He said that it was in bad shape but I could probally use it as a parts car. Well the engine was in bad shape so much that the block was glued on upside down and the heads were on backwards. He never put the lid on the glue properly and it was every where. He was right it was a parts car for sure. Well several years later I was painting a Nascar Jimmy Johnson 48 and had some paint left over. I looked over the Corvette and sanded the body down did a bit of body work and painted it. It was never intended to show it was just a glue bomb parts car. Sometimes I wonder why I waste my time on glue bombs but it ends up being a challenge. It's not perfect and it will never go to a model show. But she looks not to bad. I added some plug wires and BMF to it. Enjoy. Thanks for looking. Kenny B
