  1. I designed this, my wife's uncle built it and then i painted it. Untitled by jrherald420, on Flickr
  2. Went today and got some paint. The new models are disappointing.
  3. I cant wait to start on my 2.3 turbo IMSA car! The body lines on these car looks so good! Nice work!
  4. I have 6 that i go to between TN and KY and each one is stocked the same way.
  5. Makes sense seeing how much it cost them for shipping out replacement part. The Rear Glass and the tire came on a box with 2.34 worth of shipping on it, the Spindles cost another .68 cents id say the body will cost another 6.00-8.00. Everything i called in to get replaced i was told by Revell's customer service that it has been the main parts they have had problems with in this kit. The man i talked to about the missing spindles said that in the 3 hours he have been answering the phone that morning he had several calls for missing spindles and 5 or 6 bodys split in half on the roof calls. The man told me most of the calls he gets is for problems with this kit. Im sure half of them are people with the older kit wanting free stuff. Now to see how many more weeks it takes them to send me the replacement body, going on 7 weeks now.
  6. Both kits i bought, one from Mega Hobby 2 months before it was released and another from GMS on ebay 2 days after the release, showed up damaged AND missing parts. I wish i could say otherwise but it is what it is! I completely understand requiring Proof of Purchase, Revell has been behind the game on that for a long time now. What got me was the 2nd part. I don't know how many people will open every bag in a kit and inspect every single part when they first open a new kit.
  7. FYI, Revell is now requiring you send in the UPC and a copy of your recipt in order to get replacement parts. I called yesterday about the replacement body (due to mine being crushed in the box), i had ordered for mine the week it was released and still havent got it but the missing tire, front spindles and broken rear glass that was ordered a month later have shown up last week. They said that they have been flooded with people ordering "missing" parts from the older release that they are now requiring proof in order to get replacements (i was quite upset about the delay and them not notifying me about needing proof and i was allowed to email them a picture of the UPC and payment from Paypal). I was also told that if you order a part and find that another is missing then you will need to pay for it, in other words when you open your kits make sure that every part is there. Everyone knew this was going to happen sooner or later, looks like its here!!!
  8. I would have a hard time putting that engine and suspension in the car! It looks so good i would display it like that!
  9. Looking forward to seeing some more work!
  10. I have the same booth only mine is branded by Badger. It works great and i more than big enough for 1/24 or 1/20 scale. Any bigger and it will not work. The cool thing is if you buy 2 of them they can connect and become big enough to spray a 1/12 body easily! One word of advise is place a towel under the booth if you have it set on something you dont want paint on because paint will make its way through the bottom of the side panels. First time i used mine, i had it sitting on top of my Snap On tool box, thank god i had some paper under it!
  11. Pretty good chance i will. I have traffic school the day of the Knoxville TN show so i will need to get my fix somewhere else, i hope! lol
  12. Let me know if you want to get rid of those rims. I was looking for a set.
  13. I love the GT cars! Great work!
  14. Other than it sitting too high, that is a great kit to build.
  15. Should have waited, Michaels has a 50% off coupon this week.
  16. Good question, i have the 87 Firebird kit in the stash. Not sure if i will ever get to it or not.
  17. Had a great trade with Joker and Slusher hooked me up with some missing taillights! Both are great guys to deal with.
  18. Nope i shaved the bumper bolts off of them then took the mold seams off of the rear bumper and filled in the sink holes on the rear bumper now they are painted the body color (Deja Blue).
  19. Same here! lol Ahh the little things in life!
  20. 2 cans gave me 3 coats on the body, hood and firewall. Had to buy a 3rd can to paint the lower rear valance, spoiler and both front and rear bumpers due to the chrome falling off on mine (still sealed in the bags too).
