Walked into a Hobby Lobby thats 150 miles away and found about 200 cans and bottles of paint on clearance. Guess its not a big model building town! The spray cans cost between 1.79 and 2.22 a can, the airbrush paints were 2.15 a bottle, the small testors brush paints were .57 cents and the big bottle of thinner was 2.15. Also bought the trees at 40% off for a grand total of 77.00. Then stopped by there local Michaels and got the Nova for 40% off, i sold the racing rims and slicks before i even got home, grand total for the kit was 13.00 - 8.00 for the rims and tires for a final grand total of 5.00 for the kit. That's funny. Mine was only 55.00. Far cry from a 100.00 price tag. The Foose tires were oval in my kit, nothing too bad.

Got this today......was very happy to see it. Sadly when my wife got home we were sitting in our 2 yr olds room and i was showing it to her when my boy lost his balance and sat on the box.......he ended up crushing both A pillars and split the roof in half from the windshield to rear window, whats sad is every thing is still sealed in the factory plastic........its been that type of a week for me. Got some more stuff to work on this. I cut a base out of 3/4 inch particle board but its just too flippin heavy to use so here's the new plan. I picked up this magnetic dry erase board at Michaels for 12.00 (after 40% off). The main reason for this is the board is light weight and solid, also its got a fully trimmed edging around the outside.I also got some stone paint to act as the concrete driveway (5.99 after 40% off), and last week i got some trees and gravel to use (both 50% off for a total of 7.00). So i went to Michaels today and just didnt like the texture of the Krylon stuff, seamed too big for what i wanted it for. I did change my plans on doing an Asphalt driveway, instead im using this and doing a concrete driveway. It was 9.99 a can and i used 40% off coupon. FYI guy, Hobby Lobby sells the Testors Create FX cans of this stuff in the same isle as all the diorama building supplys. I got a can of the green color, going to try and lay down a really thinned out coat of semi gloss black over it since they didnt have any black at the time.

Got 2 cans of Tamiya fine white primer, a can of Testors F/X diorama paint, diorama gravel and a 69 Chevy Nova kit. Grand total spent 31.00
