  1. Good deal! Get well soon.
  2. While we're on the subject of the 60 Chevy 'Street Machine', What actually is in the box? I bought the regular truck kit,bot not that one. I too, was turned off by the box art.
  3. Whoa! Was that a 55 Pontiac 4X4 in the first one?

Thanks! Pencil is kind of how I started. My parents got me a Jon Gnagy 'Learn To Draw' set when I was about 7 . If you remember him,you get a senior discount. He looked a little like Ed Roth. I used nothing but pencil for years ,until a friend of mine got me started in acrylics. I use digital because it's quicker, but I do like other mediums. Here's another drawing and a painting. Yes,I like Corvettes..
  5. I used to watch Nascar all the time. But it seems that ever since Earnhardt was killed I haven't watched much of any of the races. I don't know half of the drivers and the races are boring.
  6. Really nice! looks like ones I see around here.
  7. My brother had a ruptured disc in his lower back about 15 years ago. He said he felt better in the recovery room after the surgery! You will too. Good luck, and try not to worry too much.
  8. It looks like you're running out of room. Have you thought about putting some in the living or dining room? nice track!
  9. Another great build!
  10. Really nice! Which version is this? The red one or the metalflake blue? I have an original blue one built box stock, and a metalflake blue I plan to build (someday) I really like these kits, but it takes a lot of room just to build one.
  11. I've almost bought that kit a couple of times. But don't know where I'd put it when it was done. Nice job!
  12. Very nice! Looks like it belongs on Craigslist or Ebay. "Great project-Ran when parked" LOL
  13. I've seen those on Ebay every now and then. 8 lug steel wheels, not sure who makes them. sounds like a cool project.
  14. I'm 60 and in OK health. my eyes were never very good, and thanks to playing loud music in the 70's,my hearing is not great. But other than occasional knee problems,I'm good. What gets me is like last weekend I had this old gray haired guy come over and start talking to me and it turns out I went to school with him! Never would have recognized him if he hadn't told me his name. And I've noticed the obituaries have a lot of people in their late 50's and early 60's. Enjoy it while you have it,I guess. Like Red Green say "Remember,I'm pulling' for ya-we're all in this together"
  15. I know it's not a simulator, but has anyone played Tricky Trucks? I saw it on youtube, and had to try it. It's a free download and $10 to play all the tracks with all the trucks. Very frustrating at times, but still fun.

Here's my newest. 53 Chevy custom.
  17. Hey I like them too! I was wondering about the decal stripes too. I have the Monogram version of this kit,and whenever I build it,I might try to paint the stripes on. I'll be watching this thread.
  18. I try not to start too many projects. I usually work on 2 at the same time. While glue or paint is drying,I work on the other one. But it seems that no matter what I'm working on,I want to work on something else. Another bad habit (besides spending too much time on the computer LOL) is not working on models for days at a time. I kind of go in phases I guess.
  19. Truly amazing work. He can't have much of a social life. Gerald Wingrove does some spectacular car models. All hand built from brass, and he even casts the rubber tires. Even his are nothing like this.
  20. That is just amazing! Now you need to build the shovel that goes with it.
  21. Ooh I like that! Nice color for that truck.
  22. Whew! I spent 5 hours downloading the demo. It just barely plays on my computer. The graphics look great, even with it turned down. It rains,it gets dark whatever. I was terrible at it. I would be banned from trucking.
