This kit has a really nice multi piece chassis. Separate shocks, and exhaust.
I've built several of these over the years. Too bad they got rid of the spinner hubcaps from the original.
I'm just curious about what you guys use when building models. Some of the lucky ones don't have to use anything. I use an Optivisor with a #10 lens, which is the strongest they have.
It's handy for a lot of things because I can't see very well anyway.
Let's hear what you use.
A friend of mine worked at National Body in the 60's when he got out of high school. He said it was amazing to see them take a brand new Cadillac, rip the interior out,and cut it in half!
I made a 3 window by glueing the windows in. Sand or file the edges off the windows to make them flat. It's a pretty simple operation.
I bought a GMC conversion from Shawn Carpenter. He does nice work.
Here's a link. http://public.fotki.com/jsharisky/model_cars_and_such/carpenter-list.html
Here ya go. BTW,I know it's been covered before, but does everyone hate the new photobucket?
I copied this picture twice before I realized it,and now I can't delete the first one. I hit 'delete' and the window goes black. ?????
I think I've bought models sometimes just because of the box art.
Because I like to draw cars too,and the art work appeals to me.
Newer kits that have had 'retouched photo of actual model' on the box have actually turned me off, unless I really want the kit and know what's in there.
