  1. Yep AMT 55 Chevy should work. I made a pro street out of one using the AMT 67 Chevelle pro street model. It came out pretty nice.
  2. Owww! My eyes! OK who's going to be the first to built a model of the Lincoln? Anybody? (crickets chirping)
  3. Wow.. Is this one of those where the trailer is a tag along? And 2 cars sit on the truck itself? Very ambitious build. Keep it up!
  4. Great weathering! Opening the doors really helped it look real.
  5. I'm not a big fan of derby cars either, but that is really good! Nice detailing and building.
  6. Nice builds! I've thought about getting one of those, but the ones I see are 1/32nd and not cheap... Neat looking trucks though.
  7. OMG! That Firebird is very similar to the one I used to have. Vedaro green with a black vinyl roof. Mine wasn't that nice though.
  8. That is slick! I've seen pictures of that truck. Awesome build.
  9. Is that the new 2014 Wienermobile? I heard they were out now. Very cool..
  10. I'm guessing here, but it seems that once you make one model, all the programs are there to make as many as you want. This could be interesting in a few years if the little 3 pick up on this. They could probably save a lot on pre production and mold making. Things that really cost a lot. We shall see.
  11. Superb build! I see what you mean about the steering wheel. Other than that,it looks like a great kit.
  12. You're right George. That's what I was doing on the GMC cab. The Ron Cash cab was OK,but not really correct. One thing I couldn't figure out is why he molded in the windshield frame to the cab..And the bigger Chevy trucks had another grille bar which he didn't add. His parts were still pretty nice though.
  13. Here's a few pictures. The tube I was talking about. Here's the cab floor. The GMC version I was working on. And the Ron Cash cab.
  14. Many years ago,i bought a Ron Cash resin 50 Chevy COE. Not totally accurate, but close enough. I was going to make a car transporter with a trailer, but never finished it. I scratch built a frame using plastruct, mainly a straight frame from front to back. Cabovers have a hump in the floor almost like vans do to make room for the engine. The aircleaner ahs a mounting tube with 2 bends in it to move it forward to get it out of the way. Does this help? I'll see if I can get some pics.
  15. Sure has. There's a post about him about 6 posts down from this one...
  16. Great build! All it needs is a cute girl doing 'live-on-the-scene' report.
  17. Great project! I always wondered why one of the little 3 never made a model of one of these.
  18. Good question. If it makes you uncomfortable,do what Ed said and wear a mask. Burning styrene emits cyanide,so watch out for that. I wear a mask when I'm flocking interior parts or painting anything very big.
  19. Me too. I seem to build more in the colder weather. I guess because I'm stuck inside.
  20. We're waiting for you Ira...

    JAZZ BOX

Way too cool Eric! I think I've been there..
  22. Great work Ira! One of my favorite movies. But I have bad news. Here's come the truck to shoot down the saucers! And it's 1/25th scale!!!!
  23. Nice work Tony! Great sense of detail.
