  1. Ira,your imagination astounds me.
  2. Nuts for the eyebolts? You don't miss a thing do you John? looks fantastic from every angle.
  3. Ouch! I didn't have that problem. I think i went there on a Sunday when no one was around. It had set there for weeks and nevr moved. I do remember many years ago,I was building a Trans Am pace car and I found one for sale. I called the guy to get some info on the interior (this was pre internet,so information was scarce unless you found an article about the car or knew some one that had one) anyway,I called this guy and told him up front that I couldn't buy the car but I was building a model of it and could he please give me some info on the interior. He hung up on me...
  4. That's true Tom. And I read somewhere that they tell you not to set the opening price too high because you'll scare potential buyers away. I've been scared a few times. LOL
  5. Looks really nice! What color is it going to be,or is that a secret?
  6. John, Magnificent! I wish I could build as fast as you do ,let alone that good. Great attention to detail and flawless paint. Another winner. I vote for the cosmic outcast. I forgot about that Gartlit's streamliner.
  7. Very nice Sven! I belong to a couple of Datsun forums. Several guys have put rising suns on their hoods or tailgates. There was a 510 wagon that was painted like a P-40 with the teeth on the sides That is an old truck. 312? I have a '73 PL620 that I redid.
  8. Nope, that's not it. I've done some searches and can't find anything. If I remember, the boxes were an olive drab color. The GT-40 may have had the sharks teeth on it though.
  9. Thanks Christopher! It might have set a little higher in the rear because when I was taking pictures, it was full of trash.
  10. Cold here too,but we didn't get quite as much snow as the northern part of the state. I don't have to go anywhere, and I'm not.. Got this original Monogram Big Tub last Friday. Not too bad except the passenger side looks like they poured a bottle of Testor's liquid cement down between the body and interior. Got it aprt without too much damage. It's going to be a restoration project.
  11. Wow, there's some very cool builds here. I've had a lot of favorite builds, but this would have to be one of the best. It's a replica of an actual truck that used to be in my neighborhood. I spent quite a while taking pictures and measuring this beast. People probably thought I was nuts... Maybe I am lol. Revell Chevy pickup with resin wheels and grille, scratch built rear frame and bed.
  12. Same here.I'm not as bad as some guys I know, but I still have about 6 or 7 'projects in waiting' on the shelf. And I build at least 2 at a time. ADD? probably..
  13. He's talking about the post I made. The WW2 themed cars. I can't find a picture of them.
  14. Sorry to hear that. I like his builds, and I just got a Big Tub and was looking for ideas.
  15. Rob, Maybe you're confusing him with Ron Cash, the resin caster. He passed away didn't he? Not 100% sure myself.
  16. Great artwork Sven!
  17. Very good! How long have you been doing this? What medium do you use?
  18. Here's a '60 Corvette I did several years ago. Pencil on illustration board.
  19. Well said Ken!
  20. I used a gloss black under it. I've heard it's all in the air pressure, and angle of the airbrush.
