  1. That's different than the one I had. Never seen that artwork. Reminds me of this video. LOL http://youtu.be/64mHQc_hdeY
  2. I wonder what happened to the molds for that one? The plastic they used wasn't quite like the styrene they use now. A LOT of them warped over the years. I had a 1956 Chevy wagon pormo/bank for a while, and it was warped. Too bad.
  3. Nice start to very rare body style. I have a big deuce I'm itching to biild,so I'll be watching this.
  4. 62? Wow. I was 10,and already starting to build glue bombs- er,I mean models.. I remeber hearing a lot about the worlds fair, but we didn't go. Too far away.
  5. Same here. Great build and imagination. Too clean.. Love it otherwise.
  6. Excellent build! The colors look good together.
  7. I want one like this.
  8. Love those Cords! Great job!
  9. Wow Peter! I've seen pictures of that car and you really captured it! Swoopy!
  10. That's a great built. Never would have thought of that.
  11. I was born in 52,so I remember stores that had the outside walls painted with advertising like that. You don't see that anymore. Too bad..
  12. Thanks to everyone! I have a couple of other projects started.
  13. Thanks Charlie. Yes I did paint that. It's another hobby of mine. I got the idea from one of the 'other' car model magazines. They used plaster to make it 3-D. I thought-I could do that with paint!
  14. Very cool. Nice weathering.
  15. Thanks guys! Like I said, the paint is Tamiya. straight from the spray can. No polish or wet sanding. Love it! As for the background,it's not really a diorama, but just a backdrop. I have a couple of them I use instead of just a plain background. Here's the whole thing. Its painted on illustration board.
  16. This is the first model I've built in almost two years. I wanted to build something simple, and they don't get much simpler than this. AMT 40 Ford sedan, built as a 39,just to be different. I added another exhaust pipe, and modified the headers a little.Interior is pretty basic, just added flocking on the floor. The paint is Tamiya coral blue. It's no contest model like a lot of other members put on here, but it was something to get me started building again. Hope you like it.
  17. I see an old VW Beetle roof with a 55 Chevy rear window..
  18. Doug, Here's one to give you an idea. This is the AMT 55 Bel Air I made into a convertible. The boot could have fit a little better,but.... .
  19. Thanks Bill!
  20. Yep, All or any of the above. Plus- 55 Pontiac hardtop, convert,or Safari wagon. 55 Caddy 50-51 Ford woody
  21. I agree with Richard. I usually never had an extra boot to use,so I layered pieces of styrene.Sand and file to shape and use putty to fill the little gaps. Don't forget the 'doglegs' on each side of the back seat.
  22. Could someone help with the Allison engine? I need to know how and where these 3 little parts go on the engine. I need a picture of the parts installed. Thanks!
  23. That's a nice kit. I've got one too. It should go together pretty easy. The only problem I can think of would be the hood opening/closing. Seems like there was an adjustment to it.
  24. Neat old kit. Never built one. That mini bike is a jewel!
