Is it a one piece body,like the old Monogram kit from the 60's?

Nice build Roger! I use Squadron white putty too with no issues. What about the myth that if you ever build the perfect model that you're really happy with,you turn inside out? Hasn't happened to me and probably won't.

Were they all like that? I'm thinking I had one when they first came out and it was that generic light gray color.

Ding Ding Ding Ding! Correct! Some of the first and probably a lot of the second. I used to work in a place that molded plastic. If you get a good deal on the pellets and the customer doesn't care.

Ugh,Normally I try to avoid multi-piece bodies like the plague. But I have built a few. The 59 Ford retractable wasn't too bad,and the top actually worked. Right now,I have an old Pyro VW Beetle half assembled-for the past 2 years. And the Lincoln Futura. Not sure if that will ever get built. You know,looking at the first pictures of the ancient hot rods- I have never built one of those. I might try an straight out of the box build one of these days.

I did a search a few years ago on the Ford garbage truck. I found an article (somewhere) that they had gotten as far as making the large scale wooden pieces that they used to make the molds with. something happened to them over a weekend and they warped beyond repair. They decided not to make another set and it was shelved. Too bad I wanted one.. The 1983 Corvette didn't happen either. but there is real one at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green,KY. I saw it when I was there . it's on a rotating table ,and has different wheels on each side. It looks like an 84.

UPS ports? You mean so it will deliver packages right to your workbench? Cool!
