  1. Brought 1 hour ago from the postman: Jouef 330P4 spider (ebay Germany) - no box, but complete, wiper has to be replaced/repaired.
  2. Once again, no new kit completed, but 3 started and 7 former built-ups disassembled and prepared for rebuilding. Finished in 2022 (most already shown here): 2 old kits reworked (Italeri California Spider, Heller Porsche 907/908): Some die-cast modified: 2 Fiats turned into Abarths: 2 fictitious rally cars: Simca 1000 and Renault 12 and at last - the repair of a damaged DM Town & Country (pic from before the repair)
  3. I can see some sharp racers here, Doug - well done!
  4. Very nice, Tim - Especially the jade-green Javelin and Cale's stock car!
  5. Great model, Dave - masterful skills ! Never heard of this one: Looks to me like a typical CanAm contender from ca. 1970.
  6. Very well done model, Rich - this is my favorite 917 LH - what a great way of closing the year!
  7. Good looking wrecker, Pat ! Did you scratchbuild the booms?
  8. Very impressive rig - and awesome load, Dan! Did you shorten the DM800 hood/fenders for the DM600 or was it schratch-build?
  9. Some great models here - my favorites are the 166 Barchetta and the Gulf GT40.
  10. Unbelievable craftsmanship, Janos - are you a goldsmith or a jeweler by profession?
  11. Very nice _E-type in primrose yellow - I plan to build mine in the same color.
  12. That small Jaguars are beautiful, Matt - very nice!
  13. Some nice models here , Peter - I especially like the Bud Moore TransAm Mustang (Parnelli Jones?)
  14. Fantastic collection of outstanding models I admired during the last months, Anders. My favorites are the 2 Citroens, the El Camino, the Starfire and - of course - the 250 California Spider.
  15. Marvellous models, Michael ! My favorites are the 3 rally cars, the IMSA Jaguar and the 328 GTS, but each one is very nice!
  16. Great kitbashing leading to a very fine result!
  17. Great builds and very nice photos - I expecially like the Thunderbird, 356 and Mk II. Once again, thanks for describing the wood painting method.
  18. Thank you all for the positive comments, guys - very much appreciated.
  19. OMG, Charles - how can you manage to create such wonderful, real-looking dioramas in this TINY scale? Unbelievable craftsmenship !
  20. Awwwww Casey, that is NICE !!! I really like it very much how you created a convincing 1970 truck. Gives me some inspirations for mine in the stash: I wanted to leave off the Mercury sleeper or lenghten the frame. But your coice with the 359 sleeper looks much better - also the elongated tank, different drive axle tires and the old A/C unit on the roof. Super paint scheme, too - this light grey works exceptionally well. Definately makes me want to re-start truck modeling in the near future.
  21. Excellent build, Mario - looks like the box-art. To my knowledge, Heller did not make a DS kit in 1/24 (only 1/16 and 1/43).
  22. Excellent model, Ryan - this was one of my holy grails before it was released in the mid 90's. First I looked at the photos asking myself: how did he manage the wood trim decals for the dashboard laying down so nicely? Then I read your explanations about the painted dashboard - excellent idea (if one is able to make it as perfect as you did here!) - Jean Daninos did the same with his Facel Vegas in the 1950's (metal dashboards got painted to simulate wood). The pics under the bridge are especially great-looking - you've done it justice - very nice!
  23. Another oldie from my bench: in 1986 a friend from Indiana sent me the "American Van Lines" Moving van, and I started building this rig: The Peterbilt 352 was a bit dechromed, converted to a 282 with a single stack, a shortened frame and Ford Louisville SD suspension. The dropbedvan unfortunately had bad decals that (partially) disintegrated when being applied - so a lot of touch-up was required which added to much patina on the trailer. The whole rig will undergo a bit of rework/restauration sooner or later - pictures are from August 2005:
  24. Some of you might probably have seen the 1:18 die-cast model from Minichamps, asking themselves: What's up with that? Here is the funny background story to this model (things like that aren't possible any longer), but: almost 50 years ago: Merry Christmas to all of you !
