Very very nice build of an iconic race car, Marty ! -
Thank you, Carl !

Thank you Nigel ! Are you the one who built the metallic blue version with a V8 protruding through the hood with radiused wheel wells to cope with the bigger (1/24) spoke wheels ? Saw that not long ago. Thanks, Dominik - it is box stock only. Thanks, Chris ! Thanks, Jonathan - a few years ago I found one in an Italian classic car magazine which was used for historic racing : stripped interior with a full roll cage, steel wheels, no bumpers and painted in yellow with a wide blue stripe from front to rear.

Thank you,Mario - it was a simple out-of-the box build without further detailing. Matt Bacon did a very nicebuild of this car correcting all its flaws. I would at least try to correct the front roofline and open the hood scoop. Thanks, Larry! Thanks, Bob! Thank you, Tim! Thanks, Glen !

Thanks, Tommy ! -
I found this last weekend stored away in a box - another candidate for rebuilding: Built in 1985 from the 1978 (?) Monogram release of the old Aurora kit released in 1964 - my kit was molded in burgundy/very dark red with a tan interior; the body got a brushed-on clear glosscoat only, the interior was left unpainted, engine in different silver/aluminium shades and the underside flat black. Window trim is Humbrol silver brushed on. I did not even remove the parting lines ! The wheels were brushed matte black and the spokes got a black wash. Body lines have some proportion issues, but the quality of the kit was exceptionally good for the time. The box picture is from the internet (kitform.com)

Wonderful diorama, Mario - though Trabants are ugly, you weathered it perfectly and put it in a fitting environment !

Well done wing damage, Harald - I plan to do something similar on a rally car. -

Thanks, Larry ! Thanks, Brian ! Thanks, Philippe - I will try to hold back and not overdo it with sharing my old junk... Thanks, Mark ! -
Thanks, Peter - I know I should have ground the numbers off, but first I was afraid that I would break at least one of the two hinges (2 out of 3 of these models I found on ebay had one - or both - hinges broken), second: it did not look so prominent with the original matte black paint and finally I forgot about it until I repainted the whole body. I had to repair the green paint 2 times and then called it a day. Maybe I will repaint the underside of the engine covers matte black again, which would look more realistic - but I won' t open this thing very often - it doesn't look very good. I've got no idea who finds your post confusing - just don't care about this. There is simply nothing to be confused about.

Very nice outcome, Rich - I surely wouldn't have the patience for such a complex (Metal!) kit. -
Today I received a second parcel from another ebayer containing this ERTL 1/25 Coca Cola truck in its original packaging - i won it with a bid of € 20,50 + 7,00 postage. Only minor flaw was some glue residue from an old price sticker on the roof which was cleaned within some seconds with nail-painting remover. Simple, but nice truck - fits well into my collection though I did not have this on my radar.

I got a factory-sealed Italeri Ferrari GT 250 SWB from the mail today (It was on ebay for € 30,00 + 5,00 postage) - now my stash rose up to 5 such unbuilt SWB's !

Looks good, Mario - I once read that as the black paint was drying faster than other colors, Ford made only black model T's in the last years in order to increase output - could anybody verify if that is true or is it just a rumour?
