  11. When Fred finally wanted to drive away with Wilma, he came to the conclusion that it would have been better to keep his old flintmobile (or at least buy a larger limousine)... (1961 Renault 4 L from the 1/24 Quattroruote collection)
  12. Thank you, Bill ! Thank you, Scott - It was the first movie I ever saw in a cinema .

  16. I always wanted a model of the little VW from the old Disney movie. About 10 years ago I found a cheap die-cast for € 10,00 - the Volkswagen beetle from the 1/24 Quattroruote collection - a model in the correct color with good proportions, apart from a too-low windshield. Here are some photos: I thought this would be a good base for a Herbie conversion (already with the US-style bumpers), ordered decals from Patto, made license plates from thin aluminium sheet, fabricated a canvas top from plastic sheet, steel wire and medical tape, and after a few hours of fun: voilà - Herbie (may not be correct in every detail, but it looks the part).
  17. Excellent execution of the whole rig, Graham - at first, I thought I would see a picture from the movie !
  18. good looking International, Aaron - well done!
  19. Very clean and sharp Western Star, Aron - gives me ideas for mine....
  20. Very nice Mack, Ken ! Your trademark bronze colors suit this one exceptionally well !
  21. My latest addition to the 1/24 Hachette WRC Collection: Timo Mäkinen's 1974 RAC rally winning Ford Escort RS 1600:
  22. x 2: I generally think the Fujimi is more true to the original: the body shape of this Meng Mk II doesn't convince me - roof and back look too rounded, a-pillars too wide, windows miss the sharp edges and the wheels look too small. Best of both worlds would probably be to combine the Fujimi Mk II with the drivetrain of the Meng kit
  23. Great looking model, Gary - I had no idea that you built this one, too...
  24. Thanks, Trevor - you definitely won't see this kit built very often.
