Outstanding work from you, Marco - and of course, your trademark photography: just perfect!
But the body shape of this Meng Mk II doesn't convince me - roof and back look too rounded, a-pillars too wide, windows miss the sharp edges and the wheels look too small.
Best of both worlds would probably be to combine the Fujimi Mk II with the drivetrain of the Meng kit
Exactly, and the works P4 had new cylinder heads with 3 valves instead of 2 - this and the higher compression + fuel injection brought additional 30 hp for the 1967 season.
F A N T A S T I C, Chang! A 300 SL in this rare factory color - it could easily been mistaken for the real thing (poster or calender photos!) - Photo # 6 with your fingers make it clear.
I think I will my kit paint in the same color (not the ever-present silver !) Outstanding photos as usual from you - simply great !
Very sharp model, Gary - you gave me some idea with replacing/reworking the rear panel ( I have the ARII release of this one, and it is that primitive tht I wanted to get rid of it)
Thanks, Alan!
Merci, Philippe !
Thanks, Chris !
Thanks, Larry.
Thank you, Bob - it was a little different to my mostly stock builds.
Thanks, Carl.
Thanks, Hector, I still do some brush painting on chrome details.
Cheers, Gareth!
Rich, there are expensve resin kits available from Profile 24 and Model Factory Hiro in 1/24.
A few years ago, I could buy from ebay Italy an old built-up of a rare kit (see here:
Very nice model, Rich - I had this one also, but sold it when I could buy a 1/24 version. I can't remember if mine had any decals at all. I even have a book about this car !
