  1. I purchased this built up Mercury Comet that provides all the stock trim and stock interior. I've not seen another body like this. The striped body with a thin coat of primer.
  2. Gary here is the build thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/110411-shelby-cobra-csx2260-fia-roadster/ I reshaped the top of the radiator opening by sanding and filled in the lower half. The gold painted body on the left is as it comes from the kit. Then added the oil cooler opening and filled the brake cooling ducts.
  3. '64 Targa Florio FIA Roadster based on the Sunny kit:
  4. Nice build Steve. Read that Holman Moody would help Scott out with parts on occasion.
  5. Excellent.
  6. Being that the Sunny kit is a modified version of the AMT kit hoping Gary won't mind if I post builds of that kit. '66 Sebring 427
  7. Welcome Gunnar. We share the same interest in race cars of the 50s-70s era. Look forward to seeing some of your work.
  8. Here is the Sunny kit. Most of the Sunny kits are molded in a pale yellow/green plastic. I prefer this version with the body molded in blue and the chassis/engine molded in gray..
  9. Yes. Historic Racing Miniatures will be offering a trans-kit for the AMT Cobra.
  10. The Sunny/Academy/Mincraft kit (along with the new Revell re-issue) is the AMT kit with a 427 style body. Here is a picture from the Revell website of the kit parts. I will post pictures of the Sunny kit when I get a chance unless someone else can post them.
  11. Dragon Snake "El Cid" in it's original Hell's Belle color.
  12. Cobra first race win, an evolution of the first competition Cobra Gary posted.
  13. Revell is re-issuing the Sunny/Academy/Minicraft kit. It most closely represents an AC 289 which was a 427 body/chassis with the small block 289 engine. With a little work the kit can be built as a FIA Roadster: With a little more work (to be accurate this requires changing the suspension to coil-overs) it can also be built as a 427:
  14. Engine looks great Randy. I've had issues getting the Fujimi engine to fit and still allow the engine cover to close. Hope you don't run into any problems.
  15. Several Pro-Street/Pro-Stock kits have been issued previously. One example. My guess is you are looking to build a tubular Pro-Mod chassis.
  16. Great looking project Randy and your welcome for the nudge with the Porsche Hot Rod thread!
