  1. Fujimi 911S kit is on the right, the 911R is on the left. 911S: 911R:
  2. Here is the finished ST build. I created the Minilites by combining the wheel center with a deep offset rim
  3. I have the 911S kit. I will try to posts pictures of the body this evening.
  4. Sorry Duke I don't recall Al Starr. Although not fully flared the front fenders are also too wide (on the Fujimi 911R body). See how the lip around the front wheel projects out past the front valance, not the case on the '67 "R" I used the "R" kit to build a 911ST rally car.
  5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911 The C series was introduced in August 1969 with an enlarged 2.2-litre engine (84 mm bore x 66 mm stroke). The wheelbase for all 911 and 912 models was increased from 2,211–2,268 mm (87.0–89.3 in), to help as a remedy to the car's nervous handling at the limit. The overall length of the car did not change, but the rear wheels were relocated further back. Fuel injection arrived for the 911S (901/10 engine) and for a new middle model, 911E (901/09 engine). I'm not aware of a SWB kit (plastic or resin) ever being offered. The 911S kit has the narrow body style.
  6. Thanks Peter. Yes this one has been calling to me to finish it.
  7. Nice!
  8. Thanks Kurt. Yea the videos remind you what snarling beasts these cars were. Thanks David. I have a resin trans-kit of the Monte Carlo Tarmac Special. I hope to find the motivation to take on this build soon.
  9. Thanks Rich. The engine is made up of more than 70 parts.
  10. Thanks Peter. Here is the WIP thread.
  11. I don't have the re-issue but the original release the front lower fender is a separate pieces molded in clear plastic. The rear should be a separate piece, the front should be blended in. Be aware the fender flares are too wide to accurately represent the "R". Still a great kit, the only version that includes the headers and the louvered glass.
  12. I really like the Revell kit, it is very well engineered. I've built one as Dan Gurney's AAR T/A race car and have another one started as a '71 Barracuda. I hope you enjoy building this kit as much as I did my friend.
  13. Lana Del Rey covering Sublime.
