  1. The book - The Cars of Trans-Am Racing tells the story of the lengths Ford went to in trying to convince the SCCA that these were regular production items - they wanted to run them on the Boss 302 Mustangs. Scroll to page 24. https://books.google.com/books?id=izsekDhTLxMC&pg=PA85&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q&f=false
  2. Turned out great Ian - very nice.
  3. Beautiful car. I won't comment on the price as I don't want to start a political argument.
  4. I use an old liquid cement jar and drop in scrap bits of styrene then poor in enough Plast-I-Weld to cover it. I apply the mixture with a tooth pick or and old paint brush. If it re-solidifies in the jar just add more Plast-I-Weld.
  5. Would love a set of the wheels Mike - sent you a PM.
  6. Nice job Bill.
  7. Nice work Tom.
  8. Thanks Ismael. I've read Brian that with the trans-axle at the back and only the engine in front (no transmission) the 924/944 have 50/50 weight distribution which contributes to their good handling. More engine detail: fuel injectors made from bits of hex rod a simple fuel injector pump made from square rod and another pulley from the glue bomb donor rear mounted 4-cylinder distributor from R&MCoMD kit turbo placed in prep for new plumbing
  9. Another impressive build Hermann.
  10. I'll be following Dann. Been wanting one of these kits for awhile but haven't pulled the trigger.
  11. Thanks Walter. Unfortunately your right Trevor much more work in the engine bay.
  12. "Careful with that axe Eugene." Very nice work Steve.
  13. A nice pair on your model Tommy. Wait I mean a nice pair of models.
  14. A fellow forum member was kind enough to send me this glue bomb as a parts donor. Here is the stock kit engine. I’ve started the race engine conversion by fabricating the inter-cooler plenum from sheet stock and the intake plenum from rod and tubing. I re-purposed some pulleys from the glue bomb to represent the timing belt.
  15. Don't think you will confuse this with a lawn mower.
  16. Thanks Brian. David, if a kit gets the body lines right it’s a worthwhile kit in my humble opinion. From there it is just a matter of how far I want to go with the build. I’m fortunate to have sufficient skills to add some of the missing details.
  17. Thanks Ashley. While doing more research I found this video on the restoration of one the 1980 Le Mans 924 GTPs.
  18. Love the wheels - got'a be Campagnolo.
  19. Sump looks great.
  20. I'll keep an eye out for your build Ray. I show the techniques with the intent to share them - hope they work for you.
  21. Thanks Pat, Tommy & David. Ismael the wheels are from the Revell 427 Cobra, stripped of chrome and painted Tamiya Titanium Gold with a brown wash.
