  1. Sure wish they would have chosen to release the 2000GT version with the engine.
  2. Neither a Ford or a Chevy.
  3. Thanks for the heads up Dale.
  4. Corvettes “didn’t have enough” to fight Fords, says Garcia. https://www.motorsport.com/imsa/news/corvettes-didnt-have-enough-to-fight-fords-says-garcia-1000714/
  5. Thank you for the comments gentlemen. Very impressed with AMT's FE engine from the '60 Ford. Rivals the detail of Fujimi's EM kits IMHO. Collectors are made from heat shrink tubing.
  6. The skinny Firestones were popular on gassers. Looks like your photo might have Goodyear Power Cushions on the front.
  7. I'm using the T-bolt slicks on my gasser project. It's hard to find (2) of the vintage tires with nice sidewalls.
  8. This is the restored car (for what it's worth) showing the silver fern. And the car at the end of the race.
  9. Very nice Raoul.
  10. Very nice Mark.
  11. Sorry, as you can see I am using the only (2) I have.
  12. A forum friend made some photo-etch grilles for himself and was kind enough to share one with me.
  13. 3rd on the Pantera 351. Even just a gear box/ trans-axle would be appreciated.
  14. Fabricated a set of headers.
  15. Steve, right click the picture in Fotki to copy it, then right click and past it in you thread.
  16. The AMT '74 snap kit has a flat hood. It's molded shut. You can cut it out and shape it to fit both the new tool Revell and the MPC bodies.
  17. Toning down the floor and the subtle weathering of the walls was a big improvement Joe.
  18. Here are a few MCW '62 Galaxies:
  19. Nice start Tom. Are you building a particular car?
  20. Soon, the son will finish the mission he started with his father. After that, who knows? Kiernan has no plans to sell, but he recognizes the car is worth multigenerational money. In the meantime, he hopes the movie project moves forward. He wants to build the Bullitt replicas for the film. “Who better to build them than the guy who owns the original?” he asks. Then he wants to auction the movie cars for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, a cause his father supported.
  21. The value of cars was much different back then. I've read a story that some time in the 70s Carroll Shelby owed a gentlemen some money. In order to settle his debt he offered the man either a GT40 or a fishing boat. The man chose the fishing boat, said he had no use for an old race car(!).
  22. Awesome Jon, thanks for posting this.
  23. This was a great project Mark - well done!
