  1. Force India unveiled its 2017 challenger, the VJM10, at an event at the Silverstone circuit on Wednesday. The VJM10 is the latest of 2017's new cars to be unveiled, one Force India hopes will build on its best-ever finish of fourth last season. To do so Force India will need to master the new regulations, which feature wider cars, chunkier Pirelli tyres and modified wings. The livery of the VJM10 is more silver than its predecessor and features the long shark fin which has become a characteristic of the new cars. Most striking is its unique nose design, a radical departure from those seen in the Williams, Sauber and Renault cars released so far, and a steep bump further up. Force IndiaThe car was unveiled by Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon, the team's drivers for the upcoming season. Ocon has replaced Nico Hulkenberg following the German's move to Renault, while Perez has been with the team since 2014 -- scoring at least one podium in each of his three seasons with the team.
  2. Yep those rear tires look better. The others caused to much rake IMHO.
  3. I found your valve covers. They are included in the Revellogram 427 Cobra. They are 1/24 scale so you many want to use the engine block from the kit as well. This one is busted up but it will show you what they look like.
  4. I agree I think the slicks are a bit too large. You did a good job blending in the roof.
  5. Turned out nice Mike.
  6. Renault has launched its new car -- the R.S.17 -- at an event in London. After finishing ninth in last year's constructors' championship, president of Renault Sport Racing Jerome Stoll said the team is targeting fifth place in 2017 with its new car before making further steps up the grid in the following seasons. Nico Hulkenberg joins Jolyon Palmer in the team's new driver line-up. RenaultThe car features the distinctive wings and wider track mandated under this year's new regulations and is fitted with Pirelli's new wider tyres. It also features the thumb-like appendage on the nose to meet regulations regarding the height of the tip. The R.S.17 was designed under technical director Bob Bell and is the first to be developed from the ground up under his leadership since Renault retook control of the team last winter. The livery features Renault's corporate yellow, but also a large proportion of black bodywork towards the rear. RenaultThe team's managing director Cyril Abiteboul said: "For 2017 we are perfectly placed to take the step forward we all desire. The R.S.17 is the result of many long working hours spent over our two integrated locations and the result is a car we can be proud of. We have a strong line-up of personnel at all levels of the team and we're proud to see Nico and Sergey [Sirotkin, reserve driver] join Jolyon in 2017. "We are joined by a strong group of partners with BP, Castrol, MAPFRE and SMP Racing representing the best pre-season sponsorship acquisition campaign in the paddock. We are the fastest growing F1 team and we now need to prove our performance on track. Our objective is to score points at every round." The R.S.17 is the third F1 car to break cover this year after Sauber and Williams released images of their cars.
  7. I renamed the thread so we can put all the new season's cars in one place.
  8. I like to lower, wider look. This more like what an F1 car should look like.

Thank Brizio. I don't see this getting resin cast. Eric - you are a wealth of Model T information. I would love the see any photos you are willing to share. I would like to go with something other than black or green if I can. As it sits what period would my engine resonably represent?
  10. Yea my bad, shields on the valve cover through me off.
  11. Curious how the engine block would build up?
  12. Welcome Dave.

Thanks Mike. I have been thinking about the exhaust/manifold stirrups Eric and I have a few ideas. As far as color it appears black, green or a combination of the two is the most common are there other options?
  15. Nice work Mark.
  16. Turned out nice John.

    Model T Engine

Very clever Ted using an allen wrench for the hex base of the plugs. I have always had an interest in old classic and hot rods Randy. There have been a few Model T projects on the forum that have inspired me. Thanks Dennis. I'm keeping an eye on the build-off. I wish had more of these plugs too Daniel. Here I have added the turned up radiator hose connection. Its too long but I want to have some material to work with if I ever decide to install the engine in something. And Eric please note that I've added the magneto post.
  19. Here is the trailer that was included in the MPC's Mako Shark and '76 Caprice kits.

Thank you Eric and Daniel. Mark, Mr. Norman Veber hooked me up with some out of production spark plugs. I think these will work just fine.
  21. Great project.
  22. Not a big Foose fan but I thought he did a great job on this one.
  23. I don't know if it is just my computer but most of your earlier photos are not showing up.
  24. Jellyfish released only two albums, Bellybutton and Spilt Milk (both excellent) before braking up. One of my favorites for sure.
  25. Very nice Steve.
