  1. Very cool Shay. I prefer the historics myself.
  2. You have made your position known several times. The way I see it you can accept that there will be occasional, sometimes lengthy delays in receiving HRM products and chose to wait for your parts or you can cancel your order.
  3. Let me start by saying Harold Bradford is a friend of mine and you would be hard pressed to meet a better person. However I will agree that his wait times can, at times, be painfully long. This only occurs when he is out of stock of a particular item that has been ordered through the resellers that he deals through. He chooses not to operate a website. He is a one man operation who is trying to supply at least (3) resellers, sell direct, work on new products and on the very rare occasion actually build a model. This is a demanding schedule for one person. It hurts me to hear people complain about his delivery times. Therefore I have tried to suggest ways that he might reduce them. He operate his company the way he is comfortable with and that way that he knows how to. It may not be the way you or I would do it but it works for him and has worked for him for a very long time. Please note however I have never heard anyone complain about the quality of his products. I will tell you unless something catastrophic happens to him you will get your order.
  4. Looks like it is going down to the wire for the overall.
  5. Thanks again Gene. Here I have replaced the out of scale header flange and added mounting pins.
  6. Fabricated the water inlet for the engine from some shaped rod, flat sheet and a photo-etch header flange. The loose pipe will be trimmed and attached on top of the flange and connect to the radiator hose.
  7. The kit glass is ridiculously thick, nearly .070" I am replacing it with some .010" clear sheet stock. When I install the glass I will hold it in place with a .015" headliner panel.
  8. Brilliant work Randy. Can't wait to see what you do for the engine.
  9. Nice, is this 1/24 scale? Are the wheels and tires on your truck what is included in the kit?
  10. Sorry Gene I didn't even see my typo even after you pointed it out to me! Should be "Front", I edited my post to correct it. I appreciate the effort your putting into restoring the Super Boss Barracuda. I have a '65 I am trying to restore.
  11. The Mark IV only ever competed in two races, both in '67, the 12 Hrs of Sebring and the 24 Hrs of Le Man and won both races. Immediately after the Le Man victory 7 liter displacement engines were banned and this made the Mark IV obsolete.
  12. The Escort is an example of unibody construction therefore the body and chassis should appears as one piece. Gaps between the chassis and body would not be present on the 1:1 car. So I fabricated the semicircular infill panels on either end of the firewall to close these gaps.
  13. Nice build Douglas. Love seeing rally cars on this forum.
  14. Strut brace fabricated and held in place with some temporary pins. Front infill panels fabricated.
  15. I'm working on it Shay. I'll keep you posted.
  16. Thanks Vince. Hope we can deal again sometime.
  17. I can't wait see them either Shay. We are discussing offering them for sale.
  18. Fireball Modelworks did all the hard work on the wheels & tires. I just provided reference material and guidance. To the best of my knowledge these wheels have never before been available in any scale or any style.
  19. Thanks Gene glad you are enjoying the build. Yep everything you see in the pictures that is white plastic is completely scratch built. The kit pieces are blue, black or gray plastic.
  20. Just finished up a deal with Mister 4x4, thanks Eric.
  21. This should just about be the final wheel/tire rendering. Tread pattern is based on this picture.
  22. Thanks Randy not quite up to your level but I'll keep trying Chief Joseph did great work designing the wheels and tires.
