  2. Great stuff Doug!! Looks amazing!
  3. Hey Erik, I use this paint decanted and shot thru the airbrush for ALL my builds...the silver is PERFECT for aluminum look. It behaves perfectly even on bare plastic when shot thru the airbrush. Duplicolor black and silver High Heat engine paint on this one \/
  4. Thank you Steve........I knew there was something to this kit, and I was determined to show it could turn into something worthwhile. The wheels/tires came from a diecast Maisto All American Camaro. They were chrome so I stripped them and alcladed them. The housings and lenses did Carl.....but the rest of the light I made. I started by drilling out the two holes where I wanted the projectors, painted the housings black, then inserted the aluminum eyelet into each hole (Michael's bead department), inserted a small crystal bead into each eyelet, and then covered the bead with Elmer's clear glue. Added the lens with the same glue and inserted into the hood.
  5. Should have it done no problem Ben! Thanks for the laugh Andy!
  6. Thank you my friend! The rest of the body is now polished out and the interior almost done........need to tie up a few details here and there

  12. Thanks Carl! Tonight I put the projector headlights into the hood, installed the billet grille, and made a carbon fiber decal for the indented center section of the hood. HOOD IS DONE!
  13. Yeah! Kind of a Cannonball Run Viper.......that would be cool!
  14. Grabbed a couple of quick photos outside today with it sitting on the chassis..........sorry about the shallow depth of field.....gotta fix that.
  15. Harry, if I had a quarter for every time that one was asked........
  16. I am using a direct vent blower from a hot water heater.....don't know the brand of the blower but the heater was a AO Smith. Works great!
  17. Thanks Ryan The wheels/tires came off of a 1/24 scale diecast........they are just bigger sized. Similar to a 26" rear and a 22" front.
  18. Unfortunately, my work is confidential. I work for a crash test facility
  19. Delfin, I believe it is an Academy kit out of Korea
  20. Thanks guys! I promise pics of an update will be soon........ The wife tore into me this weekend after painting HOK sooooooo, I have been working on my new spray booth in the basement, I just have to get the vent figured out and then it is back to paint again!! Powervent from an old hot water heater that I attached to a new/old 32"Wx24"Hx24"D fiberglass ceramics painting booth. (Got it FREE from my neighbor down the way!)

  24. Thank you Bob, Dan, and Jeff! Forgot to say earlier......the color was achieved by spraying the body 1st: HOK Goldmine Pearl, then 2nd misted with HOK Black Pearl, 3rd coated with HOK Kandy Grape, 4th (!) then lightly sprayed the body with HOK True Blue Pearl and FINALLY!!! 4 coats of decanted Rustoleum Lacquer clearcoat.
