  2. No problem Kerry....you get some R+R..... there will be others to check out. Frank and Les send their best!
  3. Yep Nick! I'll be back! You and Kathy talked me into it!
  4. At a local meeting/rummage sale event: Got this for $5.00 This for $5.00 This for $12.00 sealed
  5. Just to show that there is still SOME interest in tuners out there....the other model magazine did a shoot at the NNL's in the recent issue. My F+F Supra made it in there for the Milwaukee NNL.....and that is about as TUNER as it gets!
  6. The Fast and The Furious (1st movie)
  7. "Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here."

  9. That rotor Gerry is painted black for shipping and sale display purposes......the first time you hit the brakes, the black will go away from the swept surface but the hat will stay black. Snake, you can also use a stainless steel washer for the rotor: Spin it on a drill and use an old flatblade screwdriver against the spinning washer to create the rotor machined look, then attach the caliper from the assembly above to it. Looks like this when done \/
  10. Great explanation Joe!! I completely understood your method.
  11. Thank you Mike for sharing the link to microwheel's build! Very helpful!!
  12. Looking good so far Pat......I'll be following this one.
  13. I did think about doing just that Bob. The kit hinges are chrome parts that you cement on after painting the body, but I am planning on making this car a vintage race car so the hinges COULD get painted (if needed but probably not.)
  14. I am currently building a Fujimi Toyota S800. The kit has a full detail engine and trunk area. The 1:1 car has external hinges on it that are chrome which I would like to replicate but am having a hard time figuring out how. Could use your help....thanks for letting me pick your brains! This is the kit........
  15. The generation of Miata before this was horrible looking.......the headlights were way to high on the front end giving it a "pulled back too tight hair on a girl" look. Having had a 2003 S2000 in the past, I agree with the analogy of the cross between the Z4 and the S2000.....hard to copy the S2000 though without making it look obvious. Iconic car.
  16. Good luck Kerry! You dont need that thing anyways!!
  17. Thank you Oscar, Shane, Carl, and Chris!
  18. Thanks so much guys!! Glad you all like it! A week well spent!
  19. Thank you James!! The color was achieved by a 3 step process.......a custom teal I mixed myself for a basecoat, a medium pearl blue misted over that, and before clear...a HOK Aqua pearl mist.
  20. Beautiful job Fred!! That stance is Money!!
  21. This is KILLER Boban!!! I love it!!
  22. Hey guys! I was commissioned by a fellow club member to build him a copy of my Jetstream Blue ZR1. I purchased a new kit and feverishly copied every detail from the original build but kept the wheels box stock (his request.) Stripped the chrome from the kit wheels and painted them gloss black, then coated them with a layer of Alclad chrome. The roof was decaled with Scale Motorsports carbon fiber and coated with Future once dry. The tire stance width on the kit is not even close to the 1:1 car so I corrected that by adding 3 mm shims to the wheelback mounting point on all four corners to push out the wheel edge to the edge of the fenderwell......also, I dropped the suspension down in the front and rear during mockup to ensure the car would sit almost level but would match the 1:1. I am pretty happy with the end result given the road to get there. Photos were done on my Canon EOS 30D.......enjoy!
  23. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! That used to crack me up behind all the cars!! LOVED it!
  24. My daily driver looks just like this one....2014 Hyundai Accent SE loaded 6 Speed manual (but mine has the RallyArmor mudflaps and Retro'd Xenon's)
  25. Looks great to me Ray! It looks like you could get in it and drive it like it was meant to be driven!
