  1. Thanks Carl!! Almost forgot about these guys..........they were pretty crazy on parts
  2. GREAT job on this Bob!! The wood on the prop is VERY convincing! LOVE it!
  3. Thanks guys! Got a little more done last night.......the belt was annoying to get right but thank goodness it dried in place! Next I think I am going to tackle the red/black plug wires and wire up those magnetos! (This could take a little time...so bear with me.) After that, I am going to do the injection lines beneath the blower hat and behind the blower. THANKS FOR FOLLOWING!!
  4. Looks great Bob!! The subtle additions blend well into the finished piece! I love the Deal's wheels stuff!!
  5. Hey Bob, Looks great! VERY clean camo! A pretty rare kit and I'll bet it feels good to have it done. BTW the title of it cracks me up!!
  6. Thanks buddy for all the help! Got the blower painted and mounted, painted the fuel manifold, and scratchbuilt some new lines for the oilpump. Here are some pics of today's progress. More to come soon!
  7. I have begun building my boat that will be pulled behind my '57 Chevy Speedster AWD. The boat hull was sourced from a child's toy I found...($10.99)....it was a plastic Scarab that was very close to 1/25 scale, it was motorized and would do circles when you turned the rudder on the rear. This of course held no significance to me whatsoever.......so I began gutting the boat out......pulled out the motor and wiring and removed the plastic that mounted the motor. I then sectioned out 1 inch off of the height of the hull and cut it down to 8 inches long. (the width of it was fine compared to the '57 thank goodness.) I had to build a new transom for it because of the shortening lengthwise but that wasn't too bad. Ok, so here is the plan..... -The powerplant and the prop drive (transfer case) for this build was donated to me by vintagedragcrazy (Vince) who has been a pivotal part of the early stages. BIG thank you to him!! -The engine will include all the proper details of a Top Fuel engine including: fuel lines and hoses, wiring up BOTH magnetos, and a host of other details. -I plan on doing a WILD paintscheme on it like most dragboats you would see. -The trailer will be a scratchbuilt twin axle on custom wheels and tires. Pics will be later when I get home.....I am not that far along though so bear with me. This is for my NNL build for this coming year so I have plenty of time.
  8. Can you carefully remove some plastic from the backside of the hood to clearance it out a little? Then just blend it in to the rest of the hood underside.
  9. Looking great Jeremy!! Going to look great in white. I built the Fast and furious Supra not too long ago......was fun to build! (It is in the Under Glass section)
  10. Welcome Dean! I am also not too far from you in Burlington!
  11. Vintagedragcrazy (Vince) stepped right up and was a huge help on my current build. Cant thank him enough!
  12. I am guessing it will look somewhat close to a convertible version of my Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlinetta....these were the two main cars in the build other than the '57 chevy rear fins for the fender fronts...... . What ever it is Ray....I am sure it will look cool! I love different so bring it on!
  13. 1st of all Jason, the build looks awesome! Just beautiful. * Try this for hinging the rear hatch. When you put the wire thru the tube to create the hinge......put a stripped off section of wire insulation in the tube for the wire to pass thru. What this will do is to create a "detent" for the rear hatch. The insulation will expand in the tube because of the wire passing thru it. The hatch will be able to be "posed" in any position desired. Just a thought.
  14. The carbonwork, the paint finish, the engine details, the wheels/brakes..........just awesome! Great job Carlos!!
  15. So sad to hear....I would love one myself but am probably way late.
  16. Beautiful work on the gauges! That is exactly how I do mine on the large scale models I build.
  17. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!!!!!
  18. AWESOME! Love seeing this everytime as a hardtop I do love this look! It is just so RIGHT!
  19. I always thought when I was younger that it was "He who laughs last....has the last laugh......" Absolutely stellar build John ! Just mind blowing beautiful.....!
