  1. Thanks Mike! The title is deceiving......hence the reason I added the explanation after it.
  2. Gonna be a long road on this........nope (thanks though) the SHO trans would have been a little too small to mate up to the V8. I came to the conclusion I would have to build it to fit. Thanks for letting me bend your ear though.
  3. Thanks Danno! I am using the the rear differential and rear cradle from the Shelby Series one....the front cradle will be ALL scratchbuilt.
  4. Hey David, this is looking good! Love the white idea. The attached picture shows how the suspension colors should be....the piece going thru the center of the front and rear suspension is the mono shock (a black fiber monoleaf) Not trying to tell you what to do, just giving a little direction.
  5. Thank you Carl! I guess it just came to me......now the hard part comes, making all the CV shafts and center driveshaft. What have I done??!??!
  6. Such an amazingly clean build! Looks box-stock.....and I mean that in a VERY flattering way!

    The V28

What seamless marriage of parts!! Great job! Love it Rob.
  8. Thanks Tommy! Just trying to "think outside of the box."
  9. Ok so I could not get the trans to fit under this to save my butt in Mockup stage...... Brainstorming most of the night last night led to this becoming an AWD! Scratch built the trans today and put a 911 (shortened) gearbox in for the center differential.....oh yeah need to make a cap for the filler and a dipstick tube.
  10. For masking the body trim, I always use Bare Metal Foil. Makes an extremely sharp edge when airbrushing matte or satin black.
  11. Glad to see you are back on this Greg!! Love this build!
  12. That's ok Ben.....2nd time is a charm.
  13. Color Infusions Memory thread.....got it at Hobby Lobby in the sewing section.
  14. Here we go........a little extra progress from last time.
  15. Yep Ben is correct. It is technically a 4.0 Oldsmobile Aurora V8......but that is the earliest production version of the later 4.6 liter Northstar. New pics later guys......got the plug wires in, main harness tubing in, fuel rails/injectors, and started on the Boost tubing.
  16. Nice color combo!
  17. Man that looks awesome Bruce! Love the Yellow!!
  18. Sorry Bob, haven't worked on it for a awhile........wife put me on "projects."
  19. Thanks guys!! and Kerry ( ) Oh yeah........the belt and pullies came from a HP printer.
  20. Thank you so much for the kind words guys! Sorry I havent had any updates until now (Summer time is a little rough for build time.) Been working pretty hard (when I can) on the engine for this build......the Northstar Supercharged! Going to wire up the engine, do fuel rails and injectors, and wiring harnesses. The belt and pullies are from a Printer I stole parts from.
