  1. Hey Brian, those are the 17 inch 4 lug CCW......no biggie but here are the bigger ones, unfortunately it is either 17" or 19" but the 19" are adjustable depth. http://www.eightyone81.com/rm036-ccw-classic-rimset/
  2. eightyone81.com I believe they have CCW's. Check them out on the Supra single turbo build recently finished by a member on here. Excellent stuff!
  3. Very ambitious project Bill! A small tip for you, when I cut seams for joining large parts of a car body I use a Dremel diamond wheel, then I file the joint with a bevel so when you put the two together they fit without hardly a seam. Not criticizing (at all) just trying to help make your life a little easier on the bodywork end. I will definitely be watching this!
  4. Hey Cameron, One of the tricks I use for carbon rotors is to use a sharpened soft lead pencil (HB) to do the rotor face detail. The graphite mimicks carbon rotors quite well. You may have to mess around with the pattern a little but I have found small overlapping circles on the rotor face looks very realistic. Great job so far! Will be watching.
  5. Thanks David glad you like it, I know it isn't some people's cup of tea.... but at the moment I know I am digging it.
  6. Ha ha Lloyd, glad you like it buddy. Thank you Thank you again Andy Thank you JC
  7. All I got at the moment.........
  8. Wing mockup and taillights installed. ....
  9. Little more progress......installed projector housings in the headlights, finished the front carbon splitter, and painted lights and housings.
  10. Every racecar has some sort of sponsors......
  11. Thanks again guys for all the comments... and thank you Brian, your build was my inspiration. the outcome of your build was absolutely stunning! Thank you
  12. Thanks guys, that is ok Ray....I do appreciate your opinion and thoughts. Now I gotta find the livery I am going with....ANY IDEAS??? BTW Ray, the racecar idea came from being at Road America a weekend not too long ago......between that Realtime car above and this Viper among others. \/\/
  13. Great to see you are still working on yours David.....looks great! (and vaguely familiar..) Hopefully this will help.
  14. Thanks guys! And.....as it sits today clearcoated. Sorry for the low light shots with cel phone..
  15. Here is my interpretation of their car...... BTW this is all paint and masking
  16. Ok, so usually a GTS car has an "eyecatching" paint scheme....this proved to be somewhat of a challenge. Decided to go a little crazy and go with the paint scheme from the Realtime racing Acura TLX....this car
  17. You can kind of see some of the chassis work in the above picture......the front suspension from the Series 1 kit is ok......but a little lackluster so I ended up cutting off the coilovers and making my own with pen springs and parts box stuff. The injection covers are from a Corvette kit....sanded off the "Corvette" letters and painted black then Motorsport carbon fiber decalled followed by a coat of Future. Wheels are from the quickbuilder Mustang with parts box Fujimi tires. Brakes are my spun metal washers with Tamiya calipers glued on.
  18. Ok, so this build has been ongoing but I have not shown any pictures and/or progress because I have been waiting to get the Viper GTS back window.....(thanks again 1930fordpickup!) Lets back up for a moment....this build started back in March. I had seen another member on here do a similar build using the Shelby Series 1 and a Toyota 2000gt for the roof (stellar build BTW!) My friend Dr. Kerry and I were talking plastic one day and almost the same time we came up with the idea of using a Viper GTS for the roof section......the idea festered for a while until a rainy day when I started letting the plastic fly. The roof section was not as easy to work in as I originally thought but (ALOT) of sanding and blending and filling produced this. ENJOY!
  19. Our weekend fun car......and my project. Z06 heads, intake, TB, maf, Edelbrock SS headers, Magnaflow exhaust, Lingenfelter cam, CTS-V Brembos. 400 plus wheel hp.
  20. Going to have to mask and paint it all. Don't have decals....going to be a challenge for sure.
  21. Thank you very much for the compliments guys. Mixed up the dark blue urethane last night for the main color, a little more sanding and blending on the body and away we go!
  22. Thanks Bob! So i got a little more done on the front end today....smoothed out/shaped the grille opening and added the crossbar with sheet styrene. Sanded and primed the front with white primer and filled/sanded the hood bulge.
  23. Has anybody heard from kratvmnd (Albert) lately. Have seen he has not been on here since July 5. Was working out a trade deal with him and (poof) gone. Sent him a PM hoping he is ok but no response. Starting to fear the worst has happened.
