  1. Hey thanks Carl.
  2. One of my newest favorites. Thinned down nail polish and shot over goldmine pearl base
  3. Thanks Terry, glad you like it.
  4. Thank you very much guys. Glad you guys like it. I really like taking a Quickbuilder, Snaptite, or promo and turning it into something special.
  5. Color is OPI nail polish Romance on the moon cut with lacquer thinner and airbrushed over HOK goldmine pearl base. Masked and shot satin black, then masked and shot clear for Jake skull on hood. Convertible trunk was from a 98 Corvette kit, cut the top off C7 kit, cut and matched in the trunk section from the donor. Wheels are SRT Challenger wheels from parts box with Tamiya calipers/rotors and Fujimi Toyo Proxes tires. Drilled out headlight projector and installed glass led bulbs for depth. Tailpipes were removed, drilled out, and replaced with chrome penned drinking straws. Really happy with the end result of this build of a very simple kit.
  6. On the flares Bob, line them up where they look the best and if you don't already have some....get some flex-I-file with the glass tube for precise metering of the liquid solvent. Stuff works amazing for joining body panels and flares. BTW, you should see this exact kit in 1/16 scale. I have the 25th anniversary Countach Enthuisiast in 1/16 scale. Great luck to you on your build here, I will be watching.
  7. Lee, Looks great! Love this kit and you did it justice. I have two of these kits on the shelf....I agree with Aurf about the front end, I am going to cut off and match in the slantnose front end to this to give it a more Gemballa feel.
  8. No problem Jason, I agree....great looking car
  9. The Centerline wheels you are looking for were real common in the 1980's kits. 70's Z28, Trans Am, etc. You could throw it out there in "Wanted" section.....somebody here probably has a set or two.
  10. Love the movie....love what you are doing here. One thing, the movie car Cobra had Centerline type wheels on it, you can see it in the screenshot above. Only brought that up because of your attention to the other details.
  11. First of all Rob, I have built the orange kit in the past.....you have to paint pretty much everything on it to create a real nice car. If you do not have the paint to do this then the gold car will be quit a pain to produce....you would definitely have to scratch build the spoiler and the wheels would be from Aoshima. (ebay)
  12. Looking great Steve! Love the Trans Am! I personally own a 99 Trans Am Convertible. FYI, Tamiya Gunmetal grey metallic brush on is a very close color to oem for the slots in the wheels. Used it for my IROC build a while back.
  13. Very happy with my end of the trade with Dan (iamsuperdan) too. Kit was packaged very well and arrived with no issues whatsoever. Thank you Dan!
  14. WOW! All I can say.....just a beautiful build. Well done sir.
  15. EVH Paint scheme would be epic. Would match the guitar to boot.....win and win.
  16. Fireball Modelworks for the BF Goodrich tires.....simply the BEST tire you can put on this kit. LOVE your 1:1!!
  17. Same on my end JC, always a pleasure doing business with you.
  18. Had a great trade with droogie (Robert Hart). Would trade again with him anytime! Very fast shipping and took great care with packaging the item. Excellent!!
  19. Hey David, got mine the other day too. Those wheels look great on it!! ...I'll be watching your progress.
  20. Since the 1st build of the Lancer Evolution 1 the 4g63 is right up there at the top of the 4 cylinder pile. I do agree with Jesse about the sr20det though. 800-1000 hp is attainable out of either engine......500-600 hp on stock internals.
  21. Going to be real interested in seeing the construction of the B-pillar and door frames where they meet the rockers. Pull that off and you will be a star!
  22. Do not attempt to use lacquer clear over clear plastic. It will fog out the clear plastic and etch itself into the piece. Did this once after airbrushing the top of a windshield blue. Many many hours of wetsanding later I was finally able to see out of my iroc promo windshield again.
  23. Looking very nice so far Atin, I really miss my s2000. Times were tough and I had to let her go....only 22k miles on it when I sold it. 2003 ap1 new formula red.
  24. Mike will be truly missed by all who knew him, a brilliant builder of Mopar vehicles and a wonderful person to talk "car" with. A sad loss indeed.
  25. Neat little car. Great kit....built one of these as a weekend racer a year ago.
