Wow ! Awesome craftsmanship on all the builds. -
Awesome job on the scratch building and I get you on not wanting to scratch build parts but it seems as though in the model car building world we are never satisfied with the parts that come with the kit. Looks Awesome !

New Build 1957 Ford Del Rio Station Wagon Finished !
Metalmad replied to Metalmad's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Been moving quit slowly on the Wagon but here is a small update on her which I decided to tone down the center of the wheels so I shot a few coats of black clear on them which will give it some contrast to the aluminum sleeves. I also have scratch built two centering pieces for the carbs so the scratch built air cleaner would sit secure on top of the carbs. -
Wow ! What a awesome build this is with all the detail that is going on !

I have started shaping the brake calipers this evening and so far everything is going as planned so here is what I have so far which I have pictured one that I started that's on the left and one that hasn't been touched yet is on the right. -

Was able to get a bit of bench time in on the brake calipers which I have basically the shape of all four that have been scratch built so next will try my best to shape them one at time to replicate a brake caliper. -

Started on the brake system today and I will be using Detail Master 11inch drilled rotors on the front and rear so I have started scratch building the brake calipers since I do not have any in the parts box that will work well with the brake rotors. So I will attempt to scratch build a set of Brembo brake calipers for the front and rear so this what I have made to start with so for. -
Wow ! Awesome craftsmanship on this build.

Thank you Tom .... I shot the photos outside because I was needing better light source and with a background that would minimize the shadows from the sun.
